we have seen many games go to the F2P model route, some because they are dying others because of a change of business model. but here lies the problem. some games should that arnt, other are that shouldn't 

this is not a thread about if its good to go F2P or not

its about what games you think should be and games that are that should not be (and reasons)

DDO is a game that is working really good to have it change to F2P with buying dungeon packs and other fluf. this game was loosing subs when it did the change and it turned out for the best

on the other hand LOTRO, changed the model because Turbine saw $$$$ on DDO and decided to do the same... i dont think that was the right move as they lost my sub on LOTRO because of the change (and many others as well) i rather pay 15$/month for that game and have everything than nickle and dime every time i lvl up or need something.

Fallen Earth i also believe is a good move to go F2P since after reading some forum posts and threads on MMORPG.com (and other gaming communities) players felt that it was not worth 15$/month

i feel the same way about a couple of games

Vanguard is one of them i dont think the content and quality is worth a 15$/month

i have not played ant super hero game (CoX) DC Universe marvel superman batman etc.... but im thinking they can make a killing with the super hero suits  customization if placed in a cash shop instead of a subscription (hopefully they wont double dip)

It *is* the right move for LOTRO cause it makes more money and more people are playing.

From my point of view, more F2P is better. I am quiting my WOW sub when it runs out. I have a good run with it (3 years is a LONG time for ONE game).

I don't think i will play a sub game again. My next main game will prob be Diablo 3. For the mean while, F2P is good. May as well join the majority of MMO players who only play F2P.

depends on the game i think vanguard should be the next one to go F2P but it most likely wont happen
