I have a decked out levle 50, maxed out in trades and with a large amount of plat, i want to play the extended version but lat time i checked you couldnt bring money, it cost 35bucks and you didnt even get all your items. is this still the case?

thats largely the case

you can keep your items if they are attuned to you  -- if its on your character and/or Bank

but anything thats tradeable and/or  cash will not come w you

I'm curious as to your reasoning for wanting to play on EQ2X rather than Live. Were you planning on playing Bronze/Silver or were you still going to go with Gold (i.e. the $15/mo)?

I ask because, if you plan to play for an extended period of time, I'd say just stick with Live. Extended is great if you're not planning on playing super often (i.e. bronze/silver) but if you plan to play it daily and for hours at a time, why not just stay on Live?

P.S. I'm unfortunately not a supporter of Extended. I think they went about it wrong and I think they charge a bit much for things (character transfer, etc.) not to mention the fact that even if you go Gold, you still don't have access to all the races. That part baffles me.

I dunno, just drives me nuts. They're money-grabbing everywhere else, if people are already paying the $15/mo for Gold + buying all the stuff on their marketplace, why not just give them the races, as they would get on Live.

But they obviously don't need to do that, because look how many people are, for whatever reason, interested in Extended. I'd rather pay my $15/mo and get it all, rather than pay in increments ON TOP of the $15/mo.

Given that you use the expression "decked out level 50", i'm guessing you haven't played the game in 6 or 7 years.  

You might want to look into how the game has changed since then.   You can go 1-50 in a couple of days of play and what was "a lot of plat" for a level 50 back in those days can now be made in an hour or two on a level 90.

Transfer is still way too expensive, but what I'm trying to tell you is that most players today just wouldn't bother transferring a level 50 at all, it's way too easy to just re-roll.
