Everquest

I have never played EQ but i have been very interested in it for a LONG time but my brother always told me it was too addicting and such.  But anyway considering i have never played it before i was wondering if you guys can give me some info on it, like Monthly fee and Wut X-Pacs to get.  I saw a platinum set with all of the Xpansions on it for like $20.00 and i was thinking about getin it but my mom dont wanna pay the monthly  even though i said id pay her back but anyway i was wondering like is the game really worth the monthly fee and all that.  I consider myself a power gamer and i havent really found a good game to play for a long period of time for a while and i have been looking into EQ for a long time. I would just like some info on the game before i bought everything

Oh and another thing i would like to ask is Does the game take alot of memory and stuff cause i have no idea if my computer can even handle it, i have one of those new Dell Labtops i think its called a Dell Inspiron 1100? well anyway if some1 could help me on that too id be most appreciative.

EQ2 requires one heck of a computer/memory/video card so thats probably why. EQ2 wouldnt worth it to me , imo, because you would have to upgrade so many things. Everquest, on the other hand, is a fun, somewhat stable game. You should have fun with the game, just dont expect it to be as populous as it once was, years ago.

Monthly fees - If I'm not mistaken, its 12.95 a month, not too badly priced.

what to get exactly? platnium wouldnt be a bad way to go, cheap and includes the majority, if not all of the expansions that are out right now. Its ALOT of territory however...

ok heres what your computer needs......it needs windows 98  or higher a directx8.1 or higher the directx instals when you install eq you need 400mhz or faster intel pentium 2 processor 256 mb ram cd-rom drive 450 mb free hard drive space internet connection with 28.8 kbps or fater connection speeda nvidia gforce or higher direct x complaint video card with 16mb or higher texture memory supporting hard drive t&l a 16 mb card below geforce quality can be used if you have a intel pentium 3 or amd athlon processor directx 8.1 or higher with compliant video and sound microsoft-compatible mouse thats all you need my friend and thats just the minimum stuff you need i have eq i havent played it in a whial but i will be and also you can pay for it yourself without useing a credit card just get a pre paid card thats what im going to do also it is worht it you mite not see ppl that much bec ther at such a high level ther in strounger zones so just level up my good friend and gl o ya if you get the game just put anothe messege and tell me what sever your on and whats your name and we can both level up together  

Get EQ... you are on the right track. EQ2 and EQ1 are totally different games.... Sadly EQ1 destroys EQ2... I've been playing EQ since the beginning , when EQ2 came out, I was ready to move onto the next level... sadly EQ2 is a step backwards in gameplay....

Its like if you played mario tennis, then went back to pong (minus the graphical part of the comparison). And with the new water and new grapics constantly added to EQ1, its keeping par with the newest games still being released.

Go with your first instinct.... get started with EQ.
