The game has been running for years in the east.

holy wow... this is really exciting I was always wondering if there was a way to play it outside of the US but I never discovered anything. This just made my day... I can't wait for beta!!

You can play the Japanese beta if you dont mind not being able to understand the language,you will have to set up a vpn though which the link explains how to do.

Yep, I just confirmed it from Wikipedia:

Namco Bandai Games provided free ongoing US/EU server support in the fall of Flagship Studios until 31 January 2009, when the US/EU multiplayer game servers and websites were taken offline.^[5] HanbitSoft has since acquired properties to the game and it is being developed and played in Korea to date.^[6] As of 2010, Hanbitsoft has acquired the US/EU territory rights and will be re-releasing back to the US/EU territories with its sequel Hellgate London: Resurrection.

Hopefully that means the game is ironed out by now.

The only thing missing in that game for me was PvP. If they get this included this time I'm in.

Hellgate: London can't go anywhere but up.

Can't wait for this to hit live.Been waiting since it was announced almost 2 years ago that it would be redone. From what I have read it is supposed to take place in several places across the world, not just London. Japan, Korea, and a couple of spots in the US if I remember right. Most likely New York and LA since thay have prettty much the largest subway systems in the US. Hopefully there will be more so that there is a large amount of areas to explore and kill demons in.

Get used to London, they are not improving this game, just putting it out in a f2p version.  The only changes they made are to make it a f2p game.

         Also waiting for this for some years!

         And btw i already aply for beta and got accepted without a key...you have like 50% chance to get accepted without a key.The rest that dont get lucky will ned a key from afiliate sites good luck with that all and cya in the game when will beta begin!

Well, I played the original Hellgate: London and the beta was really cool. Somehow the final product was way more bugged than beta, felt unfinished and had to die. Now what's my point?

I played the first Mythos alpha, and it felt much better than Hanbisoft's Mythos. I expect the same with Hellgate: London. I think they'l just add Korean feal to it without any interesting improvements.

I wanna try to give it a shot. Hmmm ^_^

i can't wait for this to come back :)  my hubby an di played it so much back in the first beta (thought i havent managed to grab a key for this one) 

I've seen videos of what they have done with the korean side of it, and from what i hear we will get all of that as well.  so for those that think this game has sat on a shelf and not been fixed or had quick fixes, take a deep breath and know that isnt the case.  they have a fully functioning game
