Ok so I am absolutely sick of questing after I tried Allods Online.
Can someone please give me a game like Ragnarok Online or something where I can go out and just kill stuff? Preferably with a decently high community size?
I was thinking ROSE Online but for some reason I cant enter the forums for that game (I cant enter Ragnarok Online forums either -.-) but yah!!
Does anyone know a game with no many quests? I can kill 10 enemies on my own without being ordered around thx -.- Also Id prefer it if finding groups would be easy! ''/\/\'' Posted using Iphone bunni |

I seek the basis for the perfect game. A game that anyone can pick up and anyone can enjoy. |

Saga of Ryzom maybe? There are quests but I don't think they are mandatory, and you can go out and *do* things to level your abilities.
It is a skills-based game, though, no character levels. |

do you want a game thats grind from the start
or a game thats quick at first then when you get into the game and most of your abilities, the levels start to slow down
from the start, cabal online, dekaron, ragnarok, etc etc etc
quick at first, google Elite + one of those 3 aforementioned RPGS |

Aion would be perfect for you, after about level 14 the questing slows down and you start having to farm mobs to get levels.

Can't you opt not to quest and grind mobs in any game? Sure it will take longer to level.. but so does EQ/Lineage 2 etc... Remember Old School Ultima Online |

Although it is a massive PvE game and has bucket loads of quests. i would suggest LOTRO if you havn't played it.
The trait quests require you to kill massive amounts of mobs for trait skills and turbine points ( the skills are needed for end game and the points are nice to have )
And then when you get bored of grinding you have great quests and lore to play through :)
... or just get Aion and grind away lol |

After reading your post you may very well suit Lineage 2. While there still are some mandatory quests such as the class change quests ( I believe the 2nd class change can be skipped now with a fee ) you can grind away to your hearts content. Other than that I would probably say Aion, but then again there are a lot of quests in that also.
Good luck on your search!

I tried aion and thwre wasnt much fun teamy stuff and when i tried aion i got to i think... The 2nd or 3rd town and it was still a quest filled place and i was like mehh...gameworld designed for quests anf for grinding seems to be completely different >.<
as for opting not to quest i was more hoping it would be more like ro was when it was like 2001 ish when i could get to 15 ish alone then after that id be constantly teamed up with lots of ppl n stuff in some dungeon or somefing... Are the servers still as packed as that? O.o id try ff11 but i bought that long ago and Playonlime wouldnt let me play -.- so hmm... Does anyone know much games that came vefore wow? I never really tried eq but the art style puts me off >_< ''/\/\'' Posted using Iphone bunni |

Originally posted by EndDream It's far too slow, slower than old games. What's more, mob grinding was fun back in the day because it encouraged people to group, solo mob grinding would be boring, and you sure as hell aren't going to find a group of people willing to take the slowest route to level with you in modern MMOs. Modern MMOs aren't balanced. |

Developers forgot what made mmos special. Until we get that back the genre wont move forward. |
