Meh...might be just me but I do not see how those new combat related features are going to improve the game play in any way.

Seems like a pointless, half-assed 'fix' for something supposedly broken(?), features done in same spirit as respecs - feature that is not needed nor helping anything.

 I agree the kamikaze bots are not well thought out. Might be better to implement AOE pulse bombs or something. Everything else looks good.

There is nothing broken they are just adding new features - remember when devs used to add new stuff for fun?

This game gets better and better all the time, I have never been so addicted to any mmo in years!

Please explain how adding "Combat History", various forms of AOE damage and adding a larger transportation mech not needed?

 For a game to grow and progress, new features are always needed. What game is left unchanged from launch? The DEVS are already working on client/server stability, better server location etc. They can still work on new features...

Because you have obvious issues with reading comprehension or you are deliberately trolling, I will keep my answer short:

AOE weapons are not needed, there is no importance of their implementation. There are far more important features that needs attention - UI and landmark filters, asset management, assignments, etc.

The combat mechanics is pretty solid and it is one of the part of the game that needs no adding for now, some balancing might be in place but that's about all.

AOE weapons are needed. Please explain so we can have a constructive debate.  If you wish to discuss features already implemented and listing features in order of importance, I would suggest starting a new thread.

The post in the blog is not an exclusive or complete list of the things being implemented. Different parts of the team are working on their own areas of the game. The content team is working on content (missions for example), the server team is working on server side features (the blog post was mostly about stuff related to this), and the client team is working on the client (the UI would obviously fall into this category). If you read the change logs you'll see that we're well aware of the issues and are fixing them all the time, however in our announcements we emphasize on the new things, not that which is "working the same as before, only a bit better".

It is more about priorities, design and approach rather than 'teams'.


Just my opinion on where you are going with the development since launch.

I played this some during beta, and I enjoyed it. long-time EVE player here. have you guys done anything regarding LOS? I remember being on a hill in my arkhe, trying to shoot something down below and shooting into the hillside instead. also, lag was a problem for me, I'm playing on a laptop on a wifi connection. I may have to wait until my internet connection is more stable before I come back, but, just wanted to say, it's a really good game. :)

I can recall all the talk in-game of suicide sequers.  We made jokes abot  blobs running away from the ungainly beasts.

well, look at his now.  Devs are set to place them ingame now! Amazing.  Could any everyday game player actually have an impact on the early stages of a game just because devs and gm's are on the chat channels almost all the time?

Yes, the  arguments i would assume people would make is obviously all this should have been ingame already.  Afterall,

there seems to be a gamut of highly polished and very playable gameworlds on the market.  /sarcasm off

 

Lol,  i had the audacity to try and enter a level 1 mission area with my assault bot only to find i couldnt because of the restrictions

given to my bot size.  I asked for help in the 'help' channel until finally someone said , maybe i was the first one to ride an assault bot down this ravine.  I was astounded.  Surely not i.  So i contacted a dev and well, he said this was overlooked.  Amazing. 

Im pretty certain that fellow was looking at all the alphas islands  for any missions discrepancies that i  found that day for the the rest of the week. lol, this was on the 2cnd week after release.

 

I still continue to play this game and enjoy it.  I still looke for stuff that may need dev attention.  I find a few, i report it.  And i still get a satisfaction of contributing to the growth of a game that i know and feel, will be something quite special in the future. 

P.S   I think i have maybe a bit of insight to how the early EVE players felt when thier baby launched.

It is more about priorities, design and approach rather than 'teams'.

 


Just my opinion on where you are going with the development since launch.

Your comments are not very clear or detailed. All you have said is this or that is not needed, this or that is not a good fix...I have asked for clarification in previous posts which you have ignored. 

I agree with the DEVs approach on the subject of AOE damage. I agree with their reasoning for wanting to implement it. Let me try again...can you please explain why you do not agree with their approach? Please respond with somethig more than "it's not needed" or "-x- is more important than...".
