I was reading an article online about netbook testing and in the article the author said to test battery life they cycled the battery 2 times completely before testing, I think they are talking about doing something like letting the battery die, then re-charging all of it...then letting it die again and doing the same thing 2-3 times when you first buy your laptop.
Is this a smart thing to do?
What does it really accomplish?
Is it the same for netbooks and laptops?
I never herd of this before but I am very interested to know the purpose of this and what it is for specifically what it accomplishes and why it does so.
please if you know what I am talking about and have information let me know.
Thanks |

By doing that it gives the battery a memory range inwhich to operate within. Yes it's a very smart thing to do with new batteries, it will give it a longer power range between recharges.
