By now, the release of Cataclysm for World of Warcraft is a fact! Now, this is yet another expansion however just like tLoD was for Failha..... *cough* WARHAMMER!
The Land of the Dead was suppose to be the "heart lung machine" for War but it didn't quite live up to the expectations. And now, when the "Egyptian"-styled zone of Uldum is released in WoW by Blizzard one start to wonder if this is the last nail in the coffin for WAR??

uhhhh......uhhhhhh........so because WoW has (another, by the way) desert themed zone it somehow correlates to WAR and LoTD and the "final nail"? This posting makes no sense at all. It's like saying "Tales Of The Desert IV" is also another nail in the coffin since the entire game is in a desert....look, your post makes no sense.....please explain more.... |

Just like how WoW is going to be the only thing to put an end to WoW WAR's going to be the thing that puts down WAR, not something else. |

WAR is killing it self quite well. WOW need not do anything. Who could have thought that WOW could bring super power like USA to its knees?
To put it in a nutshell, our society is about to hit the fan, grades are dropping, obesity is going up,childhood the USA is going to lose its super power status before too long, but hey, as long as we have a cheap method to babysit our kids, all will be well no? |

I think it's possible for players to play warhammer without being mesmerized by anything that wow incorporates into their game. |

It's common fact amongst MMO players that World of Warcraft is the "beginner" MMO for many new people in the genre. It's otherwise known as a beginner "Gate" if you will.
WoW copied numerous other games whilst removing all the things that made it good, you know...challenging, and merely provided a psychological benefit for playing (makes you feel accomplished, even though every tom dick & harry can do the same thing you just did 100 billion times).
If anything, WoW is ruining the MMO genre with the "Instant Gratification" mentality that WoW has instilled in the newer MMO kids. So, saying that WoW is the "final nail" in the proverbial coffin of a terrible game that tried to COPY WoW....is like saying Cat food will rule the world because dogs tried to copy cats since day one...again a TERRIBLE association but fits with the OP's original statement.

According to WAR haters hasnt every single thing thats happened to the game been the final nail in teh coffin?

I really hope they do merge the NA servers down to 2. Then I could actually roll some Order characters on a functioning english-speaking server. Too many servers has always been a major problem, even from the start (lol 40 servers). If they had started with 10 I bet this game would have carried twice the subs. Nothing worse than playing a pvp game without people to play against. |
