My co-worker, who is married, went the doc to see about getting snipped. The doc said he had to have a consult and he needed to bring his wife. My co-worker said his wife is against it so he wants to do it without her being around. The doc refused saying it was life altering. My co-worker ask if his wife came in for an abortion if he would be contacted and the doc said no because that is her privacy concerns. What the fuck? |

and he is black. They have twins now. A few years ago they had a bady that had some disorder where they have seizures all the time. She slowly died from it going blind first, then deaf, then her throat quit working and finally her heart after about a year. So he does not want any more kids after that. His wife wants another one, but for some reason her desire to have one trumps his desire not to create one, while if reversed he would have no say. Welcome to modern world where men are just walking sperm banks I guess. |

eh, I have a hard time believing this story...but if it's true, then wow =P Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced. |

He said they do not perform non-threatening life altering surgeries on couples unless they can have a consult with both parties first. I was not there in the office with him. This is second hand and I have not tried to get snipped either so I do not know. |

I think there is a misunderstanding here. 1. I agree with the Doctor refusing to do it. 2. I do not believe it is solely based on his wife being against it. 3. The male in question has suffered a traumatizing event, and should not be making such drastic decisions in light of his grief for the loss of a child. The loss of a child is not a reason to get yourself snipped, many people make decisions they regret after such a devestating event. He needs the support of his friends, family and loved ones now. He is in a grieving stage and would be better off with counseling than with taking drastic measures. If he still feels like having the surgery years from now then he can reconsider at that time. In the meantime, he should try to work through his grief and pick up the pieces of his life. The loss of a child is something you NEVER get over, you just learn how to better handle it over time. It is something that never goes away, and will affect parents for the rest of their lives. It never stops hurting, instead of " getting over it" you learn to how to live with what has happened, and try to rebuild your life. |

WHEN DID MEN LOSE THE RIGHTS TO THEIR BODIES? When they got married. And the 2 became one. He should take a fishing or hunting trip to Canada, they will do it up there with no guestions asked if he has the cash.

You're forgetting one thing though, the Doctor's rights. There is no law that says a doctor has to perform a voluntary procedure on someone if they request it. |

Seems like women are usually the main decision maker in the household. I have 2 friends and know of 2 others that had the jewels snipped. I asked one, who is an upstanding Christian(one of the few I know who actually acts like one), what about being fruitful and multiply? Spread your seed like the Bible says. He replied, wifey wanted it. I guess wifey overrides the almighty Jesus. No matter what the circumstances I wil never have deez nutz chopped unless there is a tumor/cancer. Wifey gonna have to get the tubes tied! Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL! |

Plain and simple that doctor's just covering his ass because he's afraid of getting sued. All it would take is one phone call to a registered democrat with a degree in frivolous lawsuits to ruin his life. |
