ok, first off im not flaming WoW, i love the game.I am flaming blizzard.Yea yea i know its only the first few days, BUT WHAT THE HELL.I bought the game today, went on and got into a server that a few of my friends are on.Lvled up to lvl 5 and then logged off.I come back on later and the friggin que line that i have heard about is up.It says there are 436 people ahead of me!?!?!?!?!?! just great so i pay for a game i cant play.and no, i dont want to switch freakin realms.i wish people would stop telling me to do that.my friends are on one server and we are making a guild on it, so I WANT TO BE ON THE SAME ONE AS THEM!!!! then, i log back on a few hours later and it isnt even giving me the option of waiting to get into the server i have my char on....so this means i cant even switch my char over to another server anymore? i really hope it gets better.i know its only been 4 days since launch, but this is BS.this should all have been worked out in stress test and beta.i really dont know what the hell happened.stress test gets hundreds of thousands of players and everything is pretty much lag free and fine, and then release comes out and its laggy as hell and i have to wait in line to actually play the game i pay for each month? great job blizzard i applaude the launch.you really should have worked out your crap in stress test, after all that is what beta is for. btw, does anybody know if this will get better?with the ques and everything?will they eventually expand the servers to fit more players?or will it only balance itself out until players decide they are sick of it and leave or tranfer to another server? this isnt the diablo age anymore where only 8 players can play in a game, there should be no reason that i have to wait along with many others to play a game. thanks for reading my rant :) ps:(please dont flame me saying its only been a few days, that is total crap, they had months and months of betas and stress tests where this stuff was perfectly fine and then they decided to stick their heads up their butts at release, and also its not just getting into the game, its installing it.ive been able to install any other game without a problem ever!!and then i cant install WoW and they tell me its my problem????well screw you blizzard, really, if its my problem and HUNDREDS of other peoples problem that it doesnt work for, then maybe you should have made the discs right you idiots.please dont piss me off and tell me its my damn problem when i dished out 50 bucks for a "finished" product that wont even work unless i install it by copying and pasting files WHICH SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO BE DONE BECAUSE I PAYED YOUR SORRY BUTTS 50 BUCKS FOR DISCS) |

oh btw, i dont even have the option of creating a new char on a different server...thats great so even if i do choose a low pop. server i cant create a char.great. i seriously would move to a different server if i could get my friends to,but i cant, so i would like to play on the same server as them. i dont think im stupid for not changing servers, i just want to enjoy the game with friends.

does anybody know a fix for the problem:i dont even have the option of picking the server i originally started on,so i cant even move my char over to play?is blizzard just not even letting people have the option of waiting to play on those servers?cuz that sucks not to even give me the option of moving my char. |

Do you feel better now? I understand how you feel, I just bought my copy a few hours ago and made some characters and then was disconnected for some unknow reason and now my server isn't listed on the Pacific server list and isn't listed upon the servers that are down for maintenance, but O well! I don't mind because I didn't even get a chance to even get past level 5 but I can understand your frustration. As with all game launches they are shakey at first and mearly take time for the team to adjust to the demand and bandwidth priorities. No matter how much time and money Blizzard spend to improve the servers, one realm will only be able to support a certain amount of players on it simultaneously, When to many people choose the same server they get queud to get in. I can't start playing WoW until Feb or so. So hopefully everything will cool down by then.

All that needs to be done is you and your friends pick a low populated server and join it. Problem solved. Doesnt make sense to talk trash about a company who has given you an option to get out of the lines for servers, but youre too stubborn to help yourself.

well when blizzards sells 250.000 games the first 24 hours of launch and has 200.000 creating an account you are bound to get some populated servers, its just how it is. Find a new server and move on.

When you don't see the server you are playing on, it is down for maintenance. Eventually it will show back up. What I do when my server is down is play the other character I created on another server. That way I'm always playing, even if there are problems. After the first couple days, I've noticed the realms running fairly smoothly. Haven't had any lag issues since Thanksgiving. So it looks like Blizzard got most of the kinks out. I guess Blizzard could allow characters to change realms after they are created. But even though they don't, I don't think complaining about Realm queues is justifiable. Everyone has the ability to start a new character on a different realm or start your guild on the new realm. If you want to suffer and whine, that's up to you. But you need to look in the mirror to see who is most at fault. |

When the game first released, me an my guild mates joined different servers (long story). So we couldn't decide who was to switch. Then the servers came out and we all joined Gorefiend. The reason we did this is that, the server was new and we were able to hop in so in the end we would be one of the higher levels in the game since we were there since the first hour of the server opening. Sure, I get lag here and there and my FPS drops to like 5 in Stormwind and Ironforge now and then, but we got attacked by the Horde on Sentinel Hill last night and there was no lag whatsoever (We descicrated them too ________________________ ________________________ |

Personnally I have a problem with that number. They have the abaility to check how many people signed up and create credit card billing thier is no need for an estimate. Also why do they think that only 1/4 of the people created more then one character. Account numbers are always bad because some people go around "reserving" thier favorite name on all servers. Still a great sales number and should break existing records for the fastest to get 100,000 paying people for non-Asian MMORPGs. |
