We had deep fried turkey one year. Best turkey I ever ate. So moist.::::39:: Although my heart and arteries would disagree...

Yea, I moved to South Carolina in '02 and tried deep frying it then.. haven't done a turkey since any other way...  I tried injecting it last year and deep frying it.. I was not impressed with the injection stuff, so this year I went back to the Tony Chachers Creole Seasoning.. rub that into the skin.. Mmm..

If you stay away from the skin, though, I don't think your arteries and heart would complain!  Alot of people who hear about deep frying it think it comes out really greasy... Outside of the skin, it isn't greasy at all... the oil is 350 degrees when you put the bird in so it sears the outside sealing all the juices in.. then the bird cooks in its own juices...  All of you oven roasters really need to try it sometime ;)
