Just wanted to let everyone know that there is only 10 days left until the launch of Mortal Online.  There is now an official launch timer that has just about 10 days left on it.  I am creating this poll as I want to get everyone's reactions and comments about the launch of this indie PVP game.

The ai doesn't do that any more. Its lil buggy yet but floating and warping is fixed. The vid from may 25 is out dated. As early as tommorrow there will be another patch.

It has as good a chance as Dawntide or Xyson does.  Its not got the same chance as say DF because DF had better marketing regardless of your feelings about Tacos and its fanbase was much much bigger at the time.

This poll is biased and misleading. Those videos are from before the last patch. The mobs are fixed as are numerous bugs.

 They are still lil buggy tho. Very aggressive. Somewhat fast and the server thinks they dont get stuck so then you still can be getting hit but the mob is stuck some where. also harvesting is crashing the server atm (I think) well the faster crashing. but we will see what this next patch does.

Yes, that game is having problems.  It is going to beat Dark and Light by far

the AI can be as messed up as it wants to be, but at release it be fixed why , because this ploblem is a side effect of when the developers tried to fix desync and upgraded the engine and network code.

 

so bash or praise all you want about the beta, in the end of the day its a beta and mortal online has showned its AI has worked before so please remember that when mortal online kicks all other mmos arses

You do know that the AI has been bugged for 8+ months now right?  And you really think that Mortal Online can fix AI / mob bugs 10 days before release when during the entire 6 months of the open beta, they would try to fix it but cause more problems? 

 

If you have followed Mortal Online more than a month, you would realize that they do not have a strategy and most of the "bug fixes" have caused more bugs and more systematic problems...  Please refer back to the previous 13 "miracle patches" and you will see the truth...

what? when was the AI messed up? im sure it was only messed up badly for like 4 weeks due to the developers trying to fix desync and well the AI was working pretty well in the open beta? i think it was only desync issues which is not related to AI or the pathfinding is it?

Seems they can't get the resolution correct on their site without causing problems for users.  Posted a screen shot of a massively article talking about the resolution.

I don't think the animals zipping around etc. is desych. . or at least not unintentional desych.  To try ot fix desych before they "greatly reduced the number of packets" being sent from server to client and said that creatures would seem to warp around as they "updated" their location on your clients side.

 

If they have truly fixed desych then I would hope they could increase the packets back to what they were to prevent the warping.

If they have truly fixed desych then I would hope they could increase the packets back to what they were to prevent the warping.

There's not enough people in Closed Beta to properly test anything atm. (was another way to limit packets) I hope they have another Open Beta before release to showcase all the "improvements".

I didn't really play it much, tried it and maybe got 3-4 hours of in-game time. I really saw the "potential", kinda hate the word...it seems so, overused. But, unless you're blind it's obvious that this game has a lot of effort put into it (doesn't every game?). I really believe that it will survive in some form. Maybe it'll fail now, but some company will buy it, hide the willies and make it free to play. Or maybe SV just loves those dongs too much to let that happen, and rather see the game buried. Would be sad...but that's life!

True, that does cause them to get less subscriptions in the long run with all the nudity... it seems that they are trying their best to get the game to crash and burn...  they do not have a strategy or they are not using common sense...

The creator of this post must have alot of time on his hands and hatred against MO... What have the developers done to you?

 

To take tie to do such a detailed post and try slam it with some past evidence.... I give you a medal. Wish I had time to waste like this.

 

 

Anway, I cant say if it will kick arse or not.. I', gonna try it and well see how it goes.  So far when I tried Open Beta.. first time i hated it.. i then randomly gave it a second chance took my time to learn it and loved it.

Well, I do hope for them to survive. Not that I am gonna play, since it didn't turn out as I expected (not thinking of bugs or so), but simply for the fact that we need some diversity in MMOs and MMO developers.

No matter if you "hate" them (why would you, anyway?), they are only humans who do (try to) do a decent job, so let's keep our thumbs crossed at least.
