Why is everyone saying not to pre-order this game, seems very interesting to me. Even read it as being reffered to as a new Darkness and light...

Mainly because it's a new company with no past games to give them a reputation. Also because it is pre-order beta and with peoples past experiance with DF and MO they are very wary of games that follow this style.

personally for me this is a game made in USA form small developer, if it fails I helped em out. On top of it I have never seen a developer communicate as well as this company. Darkfall I felt would be bummed, but I went for it . As FOr MO to me that game just spelled fail in so many ways I would not support that at all. ((persoanly oppinion.)

But I can also throw out companies like CCP or even Valve and refute that. It really comes down to who you think is going to come out with a game that will stick and be successful or at least last beyond it's expected to. Pay to beta games aren't that bad. You just need to do your research first. Just keep in mind that if you support this developer that you will have to live with whatever happens.

bah.  It's $40 and I think the first month is free or something like that.  I've spent more and gotten less from a single-player game.

So if it turns out to be a pve carnival ride, then no harm done and nothing really lost from me.

one of selling points for me is actaully its 2 months free =).

You forgot to mention that people receive the info (screens / vids ) pretty late. Im not sure but wasnt it after pre-order was avaiable? Even for me it was more then suspicios :P

DF didn't follow "that" style like you say. It had a beta based on invite rather then on pre order. First clans got invited   and then individuals with no money paid up in front.

DF has also years experience with a playerbase and they were all talky and dandy in the beginning too, wait up till Xsyon grows  such a whiney and demanding playerbase like DF did (people who like sandbox and free PvP are that like) and mature up a bit with the years.   I see Xsyon do a staged release like DF did too.
