drbaltazar Novice Member Joined: 3/28/07 Posts: 7366	5/07/10 8:48:16 AM#1 Report this post Explain why you are reporting this post: (750 characters max.) its not advertised but if you check xfire live and probably all over the net there is a new way of doing publicity without actually costing one cent to blizzard!dont believe me?check this one out! http://www.xfire.com/live_video/juepa/ my question:is this the futur of publicity?i could be wrong here but releasing wowcore may seems like wrong but the more i think about it i got to say already with just the word of mouth tens of thousand have viewed that empty shell being shown and more new .go code gets added everyday today i got to see skywall men its a beauty! but still is this where the futur of publicity is going!i bet they reached more gamer since this was made avail then they could ever hope to try to convince to view their cheesy adds!

Business as usual "they reached more gamer since this was made avail then they could ever hope to try to convince to view their cheesy adds!" Why do you care? How does it negatively affect you or anyone else? Maybe I'm missing your "point"....

Are you syaing Blizzard purposely leaked the alpha version of cata onto the torrent sites as a form of publicity? Thats crazy, they could of use easily done a huge 1 hour fly through of the new zones and released a 1080p video with commentry - that way they can show us the good stuff in a controlled manner.. leaking an alpha client absolves blizzard of any control. We still got 6 months to wait till it's release.

They didn't leak the screenshots from Cata. What has happened is that the F&F Client has been shared outside of the tests. Anyone can find and download the client and startup a emulator and see the changes. All the world changes work without any issues on any of the current WoW Server Emulators. So there is little keeping anyone from looking at the new stuff. If blizzard wanted to get some advertising / publicity this wouldn't be the way they would do it.
