Is it possible? I am totally sick of windows and it is sapping the lifeblood of my computer. I run everything in Windows XP and I know I am olde skool in that capacity. But I am a believer in: If it ain't broke don't fix it. Now I am looking for a change, a little challenge and I've been reading into Ubuntu, so what, if any mmorpg's can run in Ubuntu or another version on Linux? If you are successfully running it, then can you share a little bit of your experience. My first experience will be an old laptop that I recently "acquired." I've been looking to get something small and light, but XP beats the heck outta it; it needs more ram and it's a prime candidate for "Project UBU." Thanks for your help, Ink |

People run WoW on linux. You can find many howto's on the subject. Thing is, you'll have to run it on wine You have to have a lot of patience to get games to run on linux. A lot of stuff doesn't work right out of the box. Probably some of the older games will run on linux too, EQ, UO I would be surprised if Eve didn't have a native linux client. Many tech types probably play eve. Well shave my back and call me an elf! -- Oghren |
