I'm rather annoyed that there isn't really that many good MMORPG's to play around with, I know there's really a lot of them but there's not many that really interest me and the ones that did interest me at some point have their downfalls that make me not really play it. So I'm going to list the games I have played and say what their pros and cons are.

World of Warcraft

Pros

  • Has a powerful story that changes.
  • Many different races to choose from to suit anyones tastes, any class is good as long as you like it.
  • Environments are nicely designed and all carry there own lore.
Cons
  • Very rude, immature and dreadful community that's also non-existiant.
  • A dog eat dog world where no-one wants to be your friend.
  • Lower level areas are ghost towns regardless of server.
  • Old lower level dungeons, 60, 70 and soon 80 dungeons and raids all go to waste like a ghost town.
  • The newish LFG has killed off guilds, personally pugs are bad in my personal experience but why people perfer pugging is madness.
Knights Online (Note: This is the very first MMORPG I ever played and I haven't played it since I first played WoW so I don't know much about this game now).
Pros
  • F2P.
Cons
  • Very, very grindy game.

Aion

Pros

  • A very pretty polished looking game with beautiful looking environments.
  • Huge character customisation to build a character you like to make.
Cons
  • Has a lot of annoying character sounds
  • Encounted a NPC that disppears without you taking your reward first who is also a quiz NPC. (The guy who asks what axe you threw in lake)
  • Mobs in starting areas look really bland.
  • Music isn't interesting.
  • No water mana drinking for Mage/Priest to restore mana.
Warhammer Online
Pros
  • Has RvR PvP.
  • Had a lot of hype and good potential to be a good game
Cons
  • Mobs respawn too quickly.
  • Graphics are not as good as I predicted the game to be.
  • Lacks in PvE content.
  • Hardly much of a community anymore, the game has become a ghost town.
The Lord of the Rings Online
Pros
  • It's Middle Earth!!! =D
  • The games own story (mostly based off the books)
Cons
  • Doesn't have the epic quality of the Peter Jackson LotR film trilogy. =(
  • Can get rather boring and lonely when playing this.
Dungeons & Dragons Online
Pros
  • It's Free. =D
  • The Dungeon Master voice gives a good story based adventure feel for where you are.
  • It's Dungeons & Dragons, pretty much what started the whole RPG genre before video games really kicked in.
  • Graphics for characters and environments look great.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to play to avoid mob caster damage. Not sure if your meant to tumble all the time?
  • Stats from gear are very over the top and hard to understand unless your familar with the pen and paper game it's based off.
  • It's purely a melee game so casters and Rangers have their work cut out with their range attacks which miss nearly everytime.
Runes of Magic
Pros
  • It's a Freebie, nothing wrong with that.
  • Duel Class System so you can pick a second class of your choice that you would wish to play or just for the benefit of your main class. Choices can be unquie at times.
Cons
  • Don't like the TP system, it's difficult to choose what skills you want to max or upgrade high.
  • Lags a heavy lot.
  • Graphics look really cheap, cheezy and nothing great to look at.

There you have it, these are all the MMORPG's I've ever played and I don't play any of them now, shame there isn't much other good games, I bet a lot of them are "Ghost Towns" and not worth the time to play them, the only game I want to try is Star Wars The Old Republic but that will be a very long while so I guess I'm stuck for choices, guess I need help finding an MMORPG that would interest me. =p

It sounds like you played Aion for less than 2 hrs and didn't even make it out of the starting area.  IMO this is hardly enough time to be able to post the pros and cons of an MMO.  The cons you point to in Aion are so minor in the grand scheme of things and are downright wrong in other places.  For example: "No water mana drinking for Mage/Priest to restore mana."  Uh...there's potions you can buy from the start of the game and there are food and drink items to buff you just like WoW.  Anyway, there are plenty of real issues in Aion to focus on, but yours seem trivial.  Real issues might include but should not be limited to the GRIND and aerial melee combat.

Hmm, I'm not a big RoM fan, but I thought it looked alright.

OP I envy you. If I put up a similar post reviewing every mmo I subbed to it would be the length of war and peace.

Yeah, grinds are bad and I guess aerial combat to melee will suck.

As I said before, sounds like you've hardly played the game, so you just don't know.

Hm.....an MMO that I suggest pretty often is Mabinogi The main problem most people have with the game is the graphics (anime-ish) so if you can get past the graphics, the game is quite fun. F2P by the way (Nexon released Mabinogi for EU recently, the NA server has IP Block on it to block other countries)

hated aion forthe short short hopeless easy quest grind, might shift later on, but really bored of easy quests....no reason to have them when its like this.

Easy quest grind....maybe till lvl 30, but by lvl 50 only 4% of your lvl can be earned from questing.  It may also be worth noting that only 4% of the population has actually hit the 50 cap so you can infer it's probably not a short easy quest grind.  Oh yeah and cuz it's so short and easy they had to start doing double xp weekends too. ;)

Well, let me put it in another way, basically they all perfer to ignore you, say your level 10 and you try to talk to a level 80 you befriended, biggest chance is they will ignore you most of the time while they do their stuff so really it's like your not talking to anyone.

You put music in the cons of Aion? That game have some of the greatest musical pieces I have heard in a game.

This one's my favourite http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmNqRzbZeNI&feature=related

Oh, my bad I guess, maybe the starter area music is where I thought it was bad.

There's a reason for that.  Here's what happens.  Some level 10 guy asks me one question.  Then they ask me another question.  And another.  And another.

So yeah, I don't want you for a friend, because most of the time, you're that friend who asks me for a ride everywhere, but never chips in for gas.

Is that so wrong?

That said, I don't mind answering the occasional question, it's just that it helps when the other person realizes that I'm not their magical answering machine.

Bear in mind, I consider this particular problem to not be WOW related.  It's true in every game I've played.

For some reason, everyone in Atlantica asks you A/S/L, and for your name up front, and will consider you as shady if you don't tell them. I for one will give nothing but my gender and vicinity on the globe *if I know you*, I figure every person asking me these things is a weirdo, or a kid who has not learned it's bad to hand out personal info to strangers yet. F'n ridiculous, I don't play these games to make friends.

No, the highest I ever got on WoW was level 63. Other games not passed level 10.

Yeah but it's not right to be ignored, I've had a really hard time with WoW, I had to be put up being alone and being unsure of something that I needed advice on. I just couldn't put up with the loneliness anymore, as for other MMORPGs since they have far less communities then WoW you will be lonely anyway, that's what happens if the game isn't at the same level as WoW in population.
