I'm rather annoyed that there isn't really that many good MMORPG's to play around with, I know there's really a lot of them but there's not many that really interest me and the ones that did interest me at some point have their downfalls that make me not really play it. So I'm going to list the games I have played and say what their pros and cons are. World of Warcraft Pros
Cons
Knights Online (Note: This is the very first MMORPG I ever played and I haven't played it since I first played WoW so I don't know much about this game now).

There you have it, these are all the MMORPG's I've ever played and I don't play any of them now, shame there isn't much other good games, I bet a lot of them are "Ghost Towns" and not worth the time to play them, the only game I want to try is Star Wars The Old Republic but that will be a very long while so I guess I'm stuck for choices, guess I need help finding an MMORPG that would interest me. =p

It sounds like you played Aion for less than 2 hrs and didn't even make it out of the starting area. IMO this is hardly enough time to be able to post the pros and cons of an MMO. The cons you point to in Aion are so minor in the grand scheme of things and are downright wrong in other places. For example: "No water mana drinking for Mage/Priest to restore mana." Uh...there's potions you can buy from the start of the game and there are food and drink items to buff you just like WoW. Anyway, there are plenty of real issues in Aion to focus on, but yours seem trivial. Real issues might include but should not be limited to the GRIND and aerial melee combat. Hmm, I'm not a big RoM fan, but I thought it looked alright.

OP I envy you. If I put up a similar post reviewing every mmo I subbed to it would be the length of war and peace. |

Originally posted by Nephaerius Yeah, grinds are bad and I guess aerial combat to melee will suck. Want to Play: The Secret World Played: Aion, Allods Online, AoC, Champions Online, Dungeons & Dragons Online, Earth Eternal, EQ2, Knights Online, LotRO, Runes of Magic, WAR, WoW. |

Originally posted by RudyRaccoon Hm.....an MMO that I suggest pretty often is Mabinogi The main problem most people have with the game is the graphics (anime-ish) so if you can get past the graphics, the game is quite fun. F2P by the way (Nexon released Mabinogi for EU recently, the NA server has IP Block on it to block other countries) ------ |

"Very rude, immature and dreadful community that's also non-existiant." ?
If it doesn't exist then how be it be what you described? |

Originally posted by Hedeon Easy quest grind....maybe till lvl 30, but by lvl 50 only 4% of your lvl can be earned from questing. It may also be worth noting that only 4% of the population has actually hit the 50 cap so you can infer it's probably not a short easy quest grind. Oh yeah and cuz it's so short and easy they had to start doing double xp weekends too. ;) RIFGAMERS.COM - Multi-Platform Gaming Community |

Originally posted by Mdpats Well, let me put it in another way, basically they all perfer to ignore you, say your level 10 and you try to talk to a level 80 you befriended, biggest chance is they will ignore you most of the time while they do their stuff so really it's like your not talking to anyone. You put music in the cons of Aion? That game have some of the greatest musical pieces I have heard in a game. This one's my favourite http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmNqRzbZeNI&feature=related |

Originally posted by RudyRaccoon There's a reason for that. Here's what happens. Some level 10 guy asks me one question. Then they ask me another question. And another. And another. So yeah, I don't want you for a friend, because most of the time, you're that friend who asks me for a ride everywhere, but never chips in for gas. Is that so wrong? That said, I don't mind answering the occasional question, it's just that it helps when the other person realizes that I'm not their magical answering machine. Bear in mind, I consider this particular problem to not be WOW related. It's true in every game I've played. |

Originally posted by Blueharp Yeah but it's not right to be ignored, I've had a really hard time with WoW, I had to be put up being alone and being unsure of something that I needed advice on. I just couldn't put up with the loneliness anymore, as for other MMORPGs since they have far less communities then WoW you will be lonely anyway, that's what happens if the game isn't at the same level as WoW in population.
