Many of the MMORPG's have many areas in them with various weapons, armor, potions, etc at those areas. What I'd like to see is that you can BUY all items in the shops based on your level. For example: beginners area should have say all items in the game up to level 20 in them based on vendor type. Then the same for levels 21-40, etc. Drops that you can actually use. A level 6 item in a level 55+ area is NOT a good item drop. Exits from some areas in games REQUIRE a scroll... Why not let you walk OUT where you entered the area? (D.O. has this issue!) It is very frustrating to get into an area where the enemies are too strong for your present level only to get killed over and over and over without an exit to the previous town. DOH! This is why D.O. got deleted after about 4 days, never to get reloaded! It is a decent game but the Beta is missing too much... Like when doing a quest, you can go for HOURS and not find the NPC you are looking for to complete a quest. All they need is the X, Y coordinates of that NPC for you to find them each time you complete part of the quest. They do it for the initial part of the quest in the help FAQ. I played the Demo of Priston Tale for over 1 year... It was a pretty well done demo for the most part. Having 3 sets of source code to maintain must have been tough for the developers. The vendors had most of the items that were level appropriate but after level 30+ you played hell finding items you needed NOW... not in 20+ levels higher than where you are now. My main character type was an archer. Using items at 20+ levels below your current level sucked bad when you were level 55+. When you could FIND someone with the wanted item you needed they gobs of items you couldn't yet find or 1+ million in gold for a simple item that SHOULD have been sold at the NPC's. Drops within 15 levels of the base required to enter a restricted area would have been very helpful. Nothing worse that getting a level 6 item in a level 55+ restricted area. That is totally useless except for perhaps a precious little gold. Now had it been level 40+ items dropping there that would have been very helpful. I'm not asking for the moon here nor do I want every item handed to me on a silver platter. I've been programming computers for 27 years and it isn't that hard to restrict the drops based on the area you are fighting in. Minimum and Maximum Ranges for this would be easy to setup and maintain.

Yikes! Way too many levels. I can see how you could get frustrated in the grind with all that going on. If a game is to have levels I think it shouldn't have anything to do with items. It should just be about your ability to defeat sucessively nastier foes in a world under attack. Any reward you get out of this should be determined by the payments of gratuity to those who have a vested interest in keeping a certain area monster free. This is in turn based on a natural economy and not spawned loot.
