Further proof that a huge sum of Americans simply regurgitate whatever Fox news quacks tell them without actually understanding or researching anything themselves. Why are so many people this stupid? If Glenn Beck is on TV and says something, it has to be facts right? Rupert Murdoch is destroying intellectualism... look at the mass of ignorant zombies hes created. ------------------------- |

Nice deflecting. I figured you would have no real response.

Sorry my point flew over your head. The point was that those people sounded less informed than similar interviews done with Obama voters. As a libertarian, I see both sides' ignorance.
EDIT: here is the same video from the other side: www.youtube.com/watch |

Sarah Palin running in 2012 would be a dream come true. It'd be such an easy win for Obama.
I have conservative friends, and not one of them support Palin. They say they're embarassed to even be associated with her. |

I don't know if there's ever been a president whose approval rating has been below 50% this early in his presidency. And losing approval is a lot easier than gaining it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tK6YIAX1jg |

I'm willing to put up $1,000 on Obama beating Palin if she runs in 2012.
Any takers? |

The KSM trial if it is still held in NY could be a factor in this.If they somehow get off on some technicality there will be repercussions in near elections considering it is the Obama adminstration spearheading the trial to be held in NYC. |

Personally, if we are going for poultry, I'm a Scrooge McDuck man myself. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if he is a native born American. Oh yeah, that doesn't matter anymore :P |

Any takers? If she runs and gets the nomination and we're still on these boards by then, I'll take some of that action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tK6YIAX1jg |

It was reported today that even though they have already confessed, the jihadists are planning on pleading not guilty. Of all the missteps Obama has made thus far, this could turn out to be the biggest bone head move of all (at least, I hope he doesn't do anything worse). I have to think that he's already starting to second guess this decision. But at this point he can't reverse it and even if he could, it would make him look completely incompetent. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tK6YIAX1jg |

I agree. He allready stated in an interview with NBC senior political analyst Chuck Todd that he had no doubt they would be found guilty and executed in which Todd made a statement that he was presuming guit(A big messup) .Defending Lawyers can jump on this to their benefit |

Reagan, whom was at about 50% in approval this time around and dropped as low as beneath 40%. Obama's actually polling pretty well considering the depths of this recession and the two wars we're in. I agree about Palin running. I hope she does run. She'll finally have nothin' shielding her from criticism within her own party. Already there's been jabs thrown at her, but Palin in a Republican primary would be very interesting. |

Reagan also didnt start off with a 70 % + approval rating (95% among African Americans) either..He has dropped quite abit when you take that in account |

Reagan still dropped the same, since his approval rating rose as much as 68% after inauguration before dropping below 50%. You can nitpick the digits, but the truth is the same, all presidents dip akin to what Obama has and some have dipped worse and still won reelection. It's normal. |

Any particular reason why it isn't normal? Or is it just because you said so? http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/presidential-approval-tracker.htm Go compare. Nothin' unusual about a President dipping their first year. Presidents like Clinton had already been lower and rebounded. More than likely, Obama's ratings will trend akin to Reagan's in that they'll probably not reverse upward steadily until the recession has ended for the mainstream. |
