i want to be able to active 5 instant skills when i click to do a certain attack if the skills are not on cooldown, but apparently this game doesn't make that possible. wtf am i supposed to do other than doing this manually, because that is to many keys/pain ass to do in 1 second in a crucial moment.

Maybe Funcom doesn't want ezmode, unlike some games.

Macros make pvp stupid, it actually requires some coordination and skill to click multiple abilities and do a 2-3 attack combo. I don't see what fun it is to have one button do half of that for you.
 

As for pve, it doesn't really matter much.

im a reaver barbarian and i have like 5 2 min cooldowns i need to active b4 i do my first hit, and that shit is impossible to do against a caster your just gonna fuck up because they run like a bitch.

im not asking for it to fking do a combo, if you gonna qq about ezmode please tell funcom to remove casters that get to play in super fking ez mode.

sounds like to me youre getting owned in PvP and complaining about it. you actually have to put some thought into this game if youre going to PvP.

no there is no such thought im saying i just simply want 5 skills to active when i do my cyclone attack or something so that i dont have to PRESS  5 6 7 8 9 0.

i never had a problem playing my barbarian. you should probably try to bash the game or troll somewhere else. some games just arent meant to be played by some people. no big deal, just maybe isnt your thing.

 the macro hes looking for = an i win button, he doesnt want to have to press 5 keys in less then 1 second (probably not even possible on his pc since it thinks hes pressing 5 keys at once instead of 5 in series so it doesnt detect them correctly for the game to activate the 5 different abilities).  if you want "i win" buttons stick to wow, if you want gorey lucious graphics play aoc.

It never made any sense to me why you couldn't macro buff skills at least.

And before anybody goes spouting realism - What are you doing in real life where you magically hit harder, faster and/or more accurately by yelling? Real life isn't DBZ where everybody can suddenly get more powerful by yelling in a determined fashion.

And to be completely honest the entire combo system in AoC is completely contrived. It's more like DDR than anything else. And for whatever reason most combos have a cooldown that is completely independent of stamina.

I've decided that having a button push = an attack (not a directional swing that can be DDR-styled into a 'combo') is probably the best method of handling MMO, fantasy-styled combat in the traditional sense.

There are different ways AoC could have handled everything.

activating 5 different ability's before i start to fight is not any fun and is not needed in any possible way,

i simply want them to be on ONE keybind instead of having to use 5 other keybinds that i could of used to bind other ability's  too, and not for all my buffs.

you guys probably QQ and call people who use a gaming mouse or keyboard a nub too. im not asking to fucking script an entire attack sequence so i can just watch him play.

I tried to explain that to people. And if you really want to have a discussion I would avoid getting so hostile...lest you bring the 'lawl another internetz tough-guy' trolls around.

To reiterate - he wants to be able to macro tedious buffs, not macro all of the keys necessary to combo.

About those macros,

Early in the game people have looked to have macros for melee classes,  that or buy a g15 and key bind their combos for their characters. with varied results it works while other times it does more harm than good.

when it comes to pve,  a macro can make things simple, no need to miss combos that you want to pull off

(p.s. 5 button combos no longer exist).

in pvp it is another story,  you may be able to pull your combos off every time with a macro,  but here are the draw backs.

1. with the latest combat change which was made almost a year from now, loading up combos out of thin out and unleashing them is no longer allowed,  having to load combos up and not hitting a target gives a penalty debuff on your damage.

miss 1 = 5 percent   2= 10 -15 %   3 and up = 20%

so if you hit some one while your macro is running , chances are you'll get those penalties and your hits will be badly minimal.

2. pvp in general,  a capable fighter that can put 2 brain cells together will not stand still and let you hit  him/her

Macro makes the user predictable, if they see your attack coming they will easily interrupt it with a cc.  or they will circle strafing

and move about making you gain damage penalties and possibly lose your combo entirely.

also chances are you wont be able to control all your combination swings so once you press that key,  be sure you dont miss.

it is better not to obtain any sort of macro/keybinding for melee classes in regards of pvping in AOC,  it will lead to fustration.

I heard you could download programs that make macros for you. This is one of the reasons I bought a g15 keyboard (but in the end don't use macros at all since I don't play my necro or demo anymore, it was usefull for the "pacts").

So basically, google around it is possible to make a macro so that when you hit one key, it activates all your buffs.

Other solution, play a zerk barbarian :p

In that case,  g15 keyboard is the way to go.

as for programs dont know if they're anymore, some have closed down over time. majority of them that are remaining are usually custom ui's for more slots.

 Do like I do; have 1 actionbar full of them... Use a uiscript that allows more hotbars then you can have it and do like the rest; mouseclick the buffs.
