Is that names are so limited! With 20 billion people registering accounts over time pretty much every name you can think of get's taken. There are VERY few MMO's that allow spaces. I just don't understand why. Let people put a space! That way if for example I want a name and it's taken I can put Lady in front of it. A boy could put Lord or Sir and so on. And there are so many other variations. One thing that really annoys me, is people with numbered names. Naruto5, Cloud10, Sepiroth22 always the same names over and over. I usually go to baby names sites to name my characters based on what I like most on the list. If I ever give birth to a child (let's hope not anytime soon) and I live in Japan, I'll already have a billion names to choose from~ Anyway they should really unrestrict names, and make it possible to make more variations. All they need to add is the ability to space. Or they could always make people choose a unique last name. |

It's an issue, but I wouldn't say it's the worst problem there is. Still, it sucks when someone has a name you want, but are just a level 1 character created 1 month after release and the account hasn't been active for years. There should be a level of decay or something, if you haven't logged a char on in 3 months then it starts losing XP until it's finally deleted. Companies only see the issue from the perspective of lost prospects that would occur when someone came back and their character was gone. I've heard that in some games you can petition to get a name squatters name changed so you can take for yourself, but I have no experience. I've found that even in highly saturated environments, picking a good name can be quite a task, but at the same time I've always managed to come up with a name that I'm happy with. |

Yes, just what MMO's need. I R Rulez UR SUCK King David Bilbo The Bilbo El Bilbo Teh Bilbo Just come up with a new name, or use the auto name generator until you see something you sort of like and tweak it a bit. An actual improvement would be to remove names that have been taken from the name generators - that is annoying. |

I can agree that naming a toon can be frustrating in estiblished MMOs, but I don't think it is the worse problem common to MMOs by a long shot. |

It's definetly not the worst problem, but I understand the frustration. Where do you think Angelicremix came from? A bigger problem imo is stupid names. I always hated getting a crafted item in WoW, and you walk around with it on and it says 'crafted by Ballsweat' I didn't really appreciate having to wear armor made by people with stupid names. If you're going to be derogatory, at least use a clever name. I think the best name I ever saw on WoW was a frost mage with the name 'Frostitute'. |

Same basic idea of why I hate attention whores; do anything for a scrap of attention regardless of how negative it can be. |

People who whine about meaningless things are much worse. |

yeah, far from the worst problem in MMOs. Ten people who speak make more noise than ten thousand who are silent. |
