If you follow (and believe) that whole story about people leaving NCSoft and taking code, etc. etc... then that's what went on to become TERA. I don't really buy it entirely... but whatever. What is true, however, is that some of the key people on TERA were designers for Lineage 2. So... yeah.. the similarities aren't entirely coincidental. Definitely captures the same look and feel of L2, but it looks like the game's going to have a more "live" combat system (no lock target and then click 1, 2 3, etc)... Factionless, so all wars and alliances are completely player-run (similar to L2, and the way I prefer it in a PvP MMO, personally) I'm looking forward to it.... though I will PK anyone who plays a Panda... >.> |

A Sorcer that shakes her ass to do magic? Where do i sign up. Why are there so many cutesie, fantasy, childish MMO's. Give me blood, gore and a long lasting challenge. I don't need my hand being held along the way. Thanks. |

Who cares about ncsoft lol. They lied to and betrayed their customers all for money. I'm glad this game wasn't done by ncsoft because to me it sounds like it has a chance now. Signature Played Ragnarok online (3 years), WoW (6 months off and on), Priston Tales (a month), Lineage 2 (6 years),every mmorpg on the game list for 1-3 months, every single player rpg from nintendo up to playstation. |

I'm aware of this. I'm also aware that the "bad leadership" were telling the gm's to ban players complaining about botters instead of banning botters themselves. By the way I quote "bad leadership" because that was the reason the ex-L2 employees said they left. Personally I enjoy grind games because when you work hard for something you appreciate it more; however, if thousends of players next to you are doing the same thing that you are doing while being afk, then it makes the game meaningless. This is why as long as Tera has human responsive GM's to police cheating I would probably love the game. I just hope bluehole doesn't take the same route ncsoft did.
