The demographics for MMOs are largly the same as they are for video games in general. The advertisement makes sense. Most MMO gamers play stand alone games too. |

Originally posted by BizkitNL Most single player RPGs that are well done beat the crap out of any MMO to be honest. Compare 50 hours of the best RPG and 50 hrs of the best MMOs, and there really is no comparison when it comes to story, gameplay, and characters. The only thing MMOs have are the people, but it won't be long until we can just co-op an RPG like Dragon Age. |

jonnychangs, I had the same question. I've been noticing a lot of that going around lately. I just was browsing mlb.com and there were ads for Bank of America, Captain Morgan and VISA. I was like.... WTF???

Obviously if I like football I have no interest in cola, and in fact have no interest in any other aspect of life - so only show me football ads when I'm watching football. Thanks (the above are lies; I don't actually watch football.) |

According to people on this site all new MMOs are single player anyways, as long as there is any instancing whatsoever. So if your going to play a single player game, might as well play a good one. And I just started playing it by the way, and yes it does kick ass. |

I dont mind them advertising solo games on here. After all most MMO's these days are you doing quests as people race past you, so whats the differance? :) |

After playing Dragon Age for a couple hours, it truly is an awesome game. My original point was that we have not seen ads for other single player blockbuster games here at MMORPG. Maybe we'll see more soon as there are some big games that have recently released and more to be released soon. Borderlands, GTA4:BoGT, L4D2, MW2, etc etc. In the end, the US dollar will still be green no matter how you get it. |
