And the clowns cant stop coming to the circus....Hey bro, I play AION -- And not once, not ever have I run out of quests. But nice try. Hope the time it took you to come here didnt stop you from grinding more rep in wow -- that would be like, really bad for a little wowtard like you. |

It was never going to compete with WOW period. Your opinion is as valid as anyones though. |

Too bad that your too lazy to explore the areas and find the quests that I know are there. Which leads me to believe you didn't even play the game. Beacauce Stevie Wonder could see all the quests that are in this game. Stop trying to Powerlevel thru the game and take a minute to actually play it. On my way to 30, there has not been one time that I have not had a quest in my log. On top of that the campaign quest give boatloads of xp. If you don't like the game just say you don't and move along. Calling it "winged ballerina" only makes you look stupid for playing it. Its not like you didn't know before you started...and if you didn't then thats your own dumb fault. |

It the process that makes the game experience. |

What? WOW smack talking on the internet. Your post has no point and really makes no sense. Please make an actual point then post again. |

You've contradicted yourself here. Since BioWare has no previous MMO experience (actually if you research that you'll find that's wrong) then it serves their best interest to get as much as they can before they release their own. With WAR they can experience things from a post-release state. They can get some experience as a whole company without having really any risk. The game's reputation is already pretty lack-luster so it's not like they can do anything to screw it up. Besides that both EA and Bioware have big bucks to throw around. You can bet that one of them sent headhunters after experienced people before they even started work on TOR. |

NCSoft's problem in my opinion is that they just don't seem to understand the North American MMO market. If they did, they would not release games with tedious grinds and insufficient content. Games like Aion may have worked here in the past, but they certainly don't now. This is, of course, only my opinion. |

What happened to Lineage 2 will happen with Aion. NCsoft will promise that all the botters/farmer/spammers will be dealt with, which wont happen, and the game will slowly fall to sub 150k numbers (not a bad thing really) in the US/Euro markets soon to be overshadowed by a western made/released MMO. Then NCsoft will release a new MMO and close a couple more and a few years later release the next Linaion game. |

You are so uninformed its not funny. There i no way that ANY game can be free of bots and spammers. The truth is these people are smart and orginized. Not even WOW is free of bots and gold sellers. Aside from that making such predictions with no real bases is just silly. If your going to make a prediction at least have a solid reason with actually facts. |

Bots and spammers are not as numerous in others games as they are in Lineage II and Aion. Blizzard actually takes an active approach to dealing with them. They even took Peons4Hire and a bot developer (forgot their name) to court. As far as making a prediction, I think that his has some merit. Let's look at the facts. NCWest + Lineage II = bot and gold seller heaven. Why would NCWest + Aion be any different? The same company runs this game, yet people assume that things will somehow be different this time around? Why? Because Aion is their new flagship product? So was Lineage II at one point and we all know how that turned out.

There is a difference between being free of bots and actually attempting to curb botting. Many games take a major stance against botting (following up reports of suspected botters, banning known accounts, etc). NCsoft really never attempts to attack the issue at all. In L2 people would report botters and then see that same bot running the same path daily for the next few months. In WoW you could see people whining and maoning about their account being banned for botting (there are even a few of those posts on these forums as well). As for my predictions, its based off NCsofts track record of game support, which in most cases is non-existant through many of their games, as well as how quickly Lineage 2 dropped in subscription numbers in its first few months in NA/European markets (Aion and L2 are pretty much the same game, with Aion being aimed more at the starting WoW base with its color pallet). So while none of my predictions are based off what you call 'hard fact' they are based off a trend the company is well known for (which most predictions are based off trends, not facts. Once a prediction comes true, then it can be called a fact) |

Yep I'm done too actually I was done shortly after I started. I was all excited about this game but with more information coming about GW2 and FFXIV I couldn't get myself invested in this game. I also didn't feel it was localized very well. |

Honestly the forum trolls on this site and others are out of hand, and the fanboi's are just as bad. I'm a level 43 Cleric, I know the games a grind. I don't mind grinds, what kills Aion is that the grind is NOT enjoyable. As gamers we are all used to grinds, whether they are disguised or L2 rehashs, they all have grinds. The issue is when that grind is no longer enjoyable. The second problem with Aion, is the carrot at the end of the stick is looking worse and worse. The carrot being end-game PvP, is not what I exspected and hoped for. End Game PvP is a joke... plain and simple. End Game pvp is in the abyss, Upper or Mid Cores... and the only draw is fortress timers. What keeps me there when there isn't a fort to fight over, there is nothing else to do in the abyss 40+. The Dreadgion is a scenario failure, it attempts to be a pvp arena whilst forcing the NPC element into the fight. So where is my incentive to deal with the grind to 50? Everyone of you 20-30's stating there isn't a grind do understand that the grind doesn't end when your 50, that you actually will be running the same instance hundreds of times because getting geared is actually a grind too? All in all ... Aion has failed for me. I had such high, high hopes of it being my next Daoc... but it isn't and it won't be. |

you got that right bro. I mean, you really need me to confirm that I am going to go with my own personal experiences over what someone is telling me they are experiencing in game ? I havent seen any bot legions, I am 25 now. I have not run out of quests. You and all the other clowns here can say whatever you want about your own experiences, but call me crazy I am going to trust my own 2 eyes over the tripe you and your friends speak. |

It is so blatant that it is hard to believe that there is any gm support for this game. |

so covered in bots that not only can you not get quests done but you cant even effectivly grind anything i got two out of about 6 quests done and just got tired of either getting my kills snaked by a bot or getting ganked by a team of asmodians that sit around the artifact waiting for lower lvls to show up to do the mission |

I started MMOs in '99 - so this isnt my first one. Also, after playing grind heavy MMOs like EQ and L2, I dont think imma be too scared. Think I can handle it just fine, but nothing like a few ignorant kids telling me about MMOs. Thanks for the tips, I never woulda known if you hadnt warned me. Oh noes !! And for the record the steep levelling curve is something I like in MMOs. I dont like wow type MMOs where you get level 50 by looking at your toon the wrong way. |
