Star Wars Galaxies

...would have to be my pick. It started off with a solid idea, which was a sandbox MMO that had strong RPG elements via the profession based skill system. It died a little with the Combat Update, but was still at the core, very playable. When NGE hit, everything that made SWG stand out was gone. Although I kind of miss the space combat; the ability to walk around in your ship that was actually taking up space was way cool. I don't see STO or anything coming out that has that.

All those elitist pvp'ers who say everything else is "carebear" and how their game is the best because... oh wait it's gone.

How about Matrix: Online. Yeah that one should blow up. The IP was bastardized and abandoned by it's creators and handed over to SOE, it deserves to ... oh damn it's gone? Huh...

Ok then next I'd have to say Hellgate: London. That game was such a PoS, they were even offering LIMITED LIFETIME MEMBERSHIPS and... oh wait... it's dead too.

Then my pick would DEFINETLY be Tabula Rasa. I'd love to see that egomaniac Lord/General Brrrrrrrritish's game explode into vapor after promising sliced fried gold and the game was good in concept but poorly executed, even... oh hell that one vanished into the ether too.

Hmmm, ok then... well I've gotten my wishes so far... let's roll for one more shall we?

Everquest. All the self-proclaimed oldskool vets bitch about how this game was, yet won't ever play it again. The rest of the sane community got sick of the term "camping" and realized they'd like to explore and enjoy the world rather than stare at the screen waiting for mobs to "pop". The stale fart of things best left forgotten, the 16 expansions of content they made players pay for and the mental stigma that in a game called "Everquest", that questing was a bad thing and shittily implemented from the get go. Yes, Neverquest deserves to be nuked from orbit.

Same here, just because I might not find many to appealing I can not ignore that others do enjoy them, so obvious as a gamer I don't want any MMORPG to be destroyed not even the ones I dislike. I would not destroy any, even the ones that I downright despise, because of a couple reasons:

1) competition helps

and

2) people put tons and tons of hours of their lives into an MMO, I would hate for them to see the game they made die; it's like a failing marriage to completely fail at a real life job of yours.

Wow so many people have the same idea.  Yeah I have to say Star Wars Galaxies as well.  That game just needs to die.  I think it finally will with the release of SWTOR though, so we might not have to wait much longer.

I half-expect Chris Hansen to pop onto one of their servers and bust them all en masse, revoking their gaming privileges permanently.  The police would be waiting outside each of their homes.  After mandatory prison sentences and some quality time with their new "boyfriends" (I don't think the internet tough guy thing would last long after a little sodomy in the real world), they'd have to register within their communities as "online offenders".

Yeah, I'm exaggerating a little.  But only a little.  It's a bad game, with a worse community, run by a terrible company.  Fail, fail, and fail.

Nuke it.

I agree with the destruction of ALL current MMOs. The last GOOD one that I played was Asheron's Call. Everything about that game was perfect, and if Turbine could re-release it with modernized graphics and systems, I would be happy. Asheron's Call 2 was ok, but it was a different type of game, and the graphics reqs were WAY too high for any of my computers I had at the time.

I was going to say Eve as I think it is pure crap and have always been totally confused as to why this site and its posters have always proclaimed it the best thing since KY Jelly.  But I think the two posters who picked LIneage/Lineage II are right.  Without them, North America may have dodged the asian crapfest and we would never have been tainted by all the crap p2p and f2p games that are flooding the market.  The explosion of asian-designed games has set back the genre far more than WoW has.

Darkfall is one of the worst games currently on the market, and the worst attempt at a sandbox MMO in history.  I'm glad you're happy with it, though, and I hope you stay there for the rest of your gaming life.

 Heh, Aion seems to have some WoW-ish potential for hate.

I would kill one non-mainstream MMO, that is RF Online, because of its P2P->F2P switch that created an item mall in which is the only viable option for a lot of mechanics that got broken with this transition, like equipment upgrading.

I'd prefer to kill the first MMO that introduced the pay-to-win concept, but then we could be killing MUDs...

WoW is the reason all new PvE-centric MMO's are too easy, period.  It also put the silly and cutesy into MMO graphics.  I can't stand the sight of it.  One ten-minute look at the world and my Free Trial ended.  What a silly kid's game. 
Blizzard wants anybody to be able to play it, so they dumb it down for kids and those with a marginal grasp of gaming skills and PC operation.  They make them easy/zergy and quick to level because kids today haven't the patience for Epic quests and slow leveling because they require that everything be handed to them by their mommies and daddies and easy games or they QQ.
Then there's those with alleged "lives" who complain they don't have enough time to level.  Sure they do, they just don't have the patience.  It's not like the world disappears when they log off.  The server will be up years from now.  What?  You can only play for an hour a night?  Oh, well.  I guess you'll be leveling slowly.  That's how it should be.  But no, the rest of us have our game dumbed down so you won't whine about not being at the cap after playing an hour a night for a couple of months.

naxx cleared @ 60 swp cleared @70 and i bet u have togc hc 25 in farm mode.
