I agree Titans Quest, even with its minor bug annoyances, is a severely underrated game. It's a simple world for complicated people- Sonicbrew |

Diablo 3 will be an AAA title.
Torchlight? B title at most.
Single Player only. You would have more success if you made a topic based on Borderlands. |

It's from Travis Baldree, creator of Fate...It's like a newer version of Fate with classes! |

This reminds me of a Dungeon Runners with less humor. |

Fate, Hellgate: London, Mythos, Torchlight... They're all connected. Torchlight is getting pretty good buzz. There is promise of making it "multiplayer", but I wouldn't hold my breath. "There is only one thing of which I am certain, and that's nothing is certain." |

Originally posted by ANDRIOD This. They were probably short in money so they released this single-player version of Torchlight for $19,90. Don't get me wrong, it's not an AAA title but it is still a lot of fun for the Action RPG genre fans that won't care about the total lack of multiplayer. Too early to know how well the MMO will be though, being partner of Perfect World, I'm expecting the MMO version to be yet another cash hog. |

Ill have to head over and look at Torchlight. I love diablo type games. (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH engages Diablo in plunger to claw combat) Everyone on MMORPG.com before every thread put the letters IMO as you and I dont speak for the gaming community or anyone else. Playing: SWTOR, Eve Online, and World of Tanks. |

The single player version is just a small step before they actually finish the Torchlight MMO. These guys made Diablo great and also Matt Uelman also did the music for World of Warcraft. |

I like it. Fast pace action. You get to kill LOTS and LOTS of mobs. Nice art design. Very fluid & responsive (no doubt influenced by WOW & Blizzard). A lot of fun. |

I must say I like it, the game is pretty solid and apart from some minor bugs and the awkward pet path finding once in a while and trading could be a bit more in depth other than that its very fun and addictive I am looking forward to a multiplayer version.

It's a budget title with a budget price. Comparing this to Diablo would be like comparing Serious Sam to Half Life 2. It looks like a lot of fun at a reasonable price. Personally I'll be giving it a spin when I get my next paycheck. |

The screenshots of Torchlight do the game no justice at all, it looked so much better in game than I thought it was going to look. The combat and skills all seemed very nice and explosive but I just couldn't stand the amount of load screens you had to go through. The little measly demo dungeon had about 4 or 5 if I remember correctly where as games like Diablo and Titan Quest are completlely seamless which gives the games a much more immersive experience. The MMO version is suppose to have an open world to it but based on the demo I don't see how this is going to be possible unless the game is super linear or as narrow as a hallway. I wish them luck and will definitely give the game a shot when it becomes and MMO. |

Hehe, not with that level of bugs in a small single player only game.
