Girl suspended for bringing empty, read potentially dangerous, shotgun shells to school.
I don't know what to say so,
Must have been a liberal principal. |

The principle obviously isn't a gun person if he thinks bullet casing can be as dangerous as a live bullet. He may be... the only man in Iowa who thinks an empty shell is dangerous. |

I figured there would be a post with your sentiment. You can't just load a shell and start blasting away, however you can with a gun. At what point during the day do you start thinking? Right before you go to bed? |

Common sense no longer exist in this country, just like when the 1st grader who brought hhis boy scout spork thing to school and was suspended. Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time. If the Powerball lottery was like Lotro, nobody would win for 2 years, and then everyone in Nebraska would win on the same day. AMD 4800 2.4ghz-3GB RAM 533mhz-EVGA 9500GT 512mb-320gb HD |

Right before you go to bed? Don't try and decode my posts. I am being 100% honest! ALWAYS! An empty shell and an unloaded gun are both perfectly safe. Guns don't kill people, bullets do. An empty shell and an unloaded gun contain no bullets. Which gives them the same safety rating. I think loaded guns should be allowed in school anyway. Class clowns impede everyone's education. I don't think they'd be so quick to act up if they knew their classmates were packing heat! TORT REFORM: I am in favor of "settlement panels". Sargoth, don't feed the trolls. "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." -- Winston Churchill |

Principle bans hemp necklaces from school because he's afraid kids will get high = conservative? It's happened before. |

I actually had something similar happen to me when I was in 7th grade. I'd been hunting with my father and grandfather over thanksgiving and left some 20-gauge and 0.22 casings in my jacket pocket. The teacher saw me showing them to other people and confiscated them.. also called my parents. As I recall my father laughed about it. I suppose I can see where they are coming from on one level- since you are dealing with paraphernalia related to an activity where adult-level decision making is required. I'm not sure I'd want my kids to take an empty Jim Beam bottle or box of Trojans to school for show and tell. |

I've heard of kids being expelled for accidentally having a steak knife in their CAR, not even having it in school. One time a kid's car broke down and he had to use his dad's pickup, who keeps a shotgun under his seat...somehow it got discovered and he got kicked out of school common sense = 0% case by case practical common sense = 0% over reaction based on political correctness and media hype = 100% result--- liberal thinking caused this. how's that for generalizing? that actually is 100% correct. bring it. |

I'm a liberal and I don't have a problem with empty shell casings in school.
Your generalization has failed.
You are unfairly projecting your backwards ideas onto another group. |

My car got a hit by my schools drug dog in school once, they found several beer caps and gave me after school detention even though I told them they belonged to my uncle. (which they didn't :P) |

Since liberal is the opposite of conservative, does that mean conservative thinking caused columbine?
See! I can illogically deduce something also! |

Lets use this argument that empty shells don't kill. If we can bring in parts of firearms as long as they don't kill, we can also bring in empty guns. After all, you need both for it to fire. Kid A brings in empty shells. Kid B brings in the shotgun. Enough said. |

That's insane. If it was obvious she didn't have any intent on using them, then it makes absolutely no sense. The rules in this country are merely being enforced for the sake of having rules; it's as if everybody has abandoned reasoning and intuition and left everything up to authority.
This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed. |
