"Bots and soloers are the same..."

Wow, that has got to be one of the stupidest comparisons I have ever heard...

Only a complete and utter loser worries as much as some of you do, about how others spend their time playing a game.

Do you realize that instead of promoting group play u indeed promote MORE soloing? how? u just enforce that PUGs are made of asshats and douches whose "1337 skillz" are better than anyone in the group . People play for fun and enjoyable experiences, not to be npcs for the "1337 player", give us pros, not cons dude.

Because somehow If hit home to the point where people are actually taking their time to attack me because I said bots and soloers are the same.

It must be somewhat true then or else you would just brush It off, no?

 

I mean, seriously, is it any wonder that more solo-friendly games are becoming popular?  If I was forced to group up with half the 'old school' MMO guys that whine about solo-friendly games, I'd never be playing an MMO.  Most of them (at least the ones that feel the need to ramble on about AC/UO/EQ on here, endlessly) seem like complete douchebags. 

reasons why people solo:

1. People suck

2. Loot drops suck

3. noobs and people asking stupid questions (you dont have to put up with them)

4. get more done on your own than waiting for people

5. farming (dont have to share loot drops)

Yeah, it's not like there's not a few dozen other posts on here from some pretentions schmuck wanting to dictate how others play, and  how solo-friendly games are the end of all things good.

I think part of it is that people don't like being compaired to anything negative. With that they will defend themselves or others to put an end to the comparison. Now if you compaired all groupers to something perceived as negative, you know you would get the same response, so don't so shocked.

Really? I found the people that solo in wow to be the nicest people in that game. Groupers and raiders on the other hand, are the most unpleasant, selfish and egocentric cunts of all (if you're the exception, good for you). Of course you wouldnt see them this way, considering you are one of them, so there you have it.

Oh, and Im in your mmo, soloing your mobs, and theres nothing you can do about it (besides cry on the forums). Neener, Neener, Neener! =P

Actually they are a mixed bag, just like soloers.  A lot of old school gamers cannot accept anyone else's choice of gaming style (sound a bit familiar Astral?). You also have some old school gamers that are kind and helpful. On the other side, you have soloers who refuse to game with anyone, prefering the dont get in my damn way approach. Then you have soloers who only have limited time to play, and cant always join a pug, you know, like people with jobs, family, lives. Since you like to compare people to negatives, allow me.

Old school bitter gamers like astralmystic are like 30 yr old men who live in their mother's basement....wait, they are 30 yr old males who live in their mother's basement.

What is a true solo player? Someone in the prime of his adolescence/early adulthood whose idea of  Saturday evening entertainment is sitting alone at his computer while pretending that running around an online game with his "m8s" constitutes a social life.
