You guys have probably seen Phantasy star online phantasy star universe and Monster hunter games. If you have you know that the combat in those games is very well done. You press a button to attack and if you want to evade or dodge you actually move in that direction. You string attacks to build combos and so on. It's a very fluid and in my opinion great combat system I would love to see in mmorpg games. Have any mmorpg games adopted this combat system yet? I have been looking for a game with that type of combat for many months now but to my disappointment I find myself just waiting for MH3 month after month. |

Not played those games but I know some that do not use the standard MMO point and click, auto attack sytem. AoC factors weapon length and has aimed range weapons. Fallen Earth is partially twitch based shooting. Aion I think it is gives you a bonus for using direction keys as you attack? |

The chronicles of spellborn. But it kind of went through publisher hell and back 5 or 6 times. It's around as purely free right now with plans to make it a normal item shop game.
It's mostly P2P quality though. |

DDO has some things like PSO/PSU where its free form and you run around and dodge in the way you want to go. Only thing is that the combat doesn't have combos built in it. |

Age of Conan has a good action-orientated combat-system. -- |
