I really want to play this game at launch, but time is running out for the developers to make the game playable come launch. I am going to leave it at that before I say anything that breaks the NDA... Sad times ahead... |

I also agree. I don't think one person that visits this site wants the fail of a game. After all what did the company and game do to us? Hearing about this game I was kinda excited. The screen shots didn't show anything fancy, but the way the devs were describing the game made me want to play it. S.C.I.F.I |

hate to say it but i have to agree, i was very much looking forward to the game after reading about how gms controlled the gods roaming around in the game. the graphics i've never liked but could get use to if it came through on the game play/pvp. i logged in last night for little bit at like 12am, there was no one around in the area i was in. mobs and NPCs took probably a full minute to appear on the screen, then when they did they all hitched and rubber banded all over. i tried fighting a few mobs, attack one, it stayed way out there just walking like nothing was going on. i would be taking dmg as if it was right there attacking me, sometimes i would lose LoS in a open field and mob popped behind me. the game is more like very early beta rather than a game to be released in like a week? there is noway this game is even close to being ready for launch, as some one else said they must be on a deadline and its do or die. i could excuse the lagg/hitching to a point if it was absolutely packed and people all over the place where i was. i mean as far as i could see looking in all directions there wasn't a single person near me, and i did pan the camera around jic i was missing some big siege going on or something. could be a good game but if they release it as is, there is no hope. the game could be good with time but seems they can't wait. |

I agree,i loved finding places to hunt in eq1,out in the wilderness named mob hunting. This is one thing i love about Vanguard. In vanguard you can quests or you can just explore and find mobs to grind, you might even spawn a named mob with a great drop,it's as close to that eq1 feel as you can get. I know wow took great things from eq1 but this game is a copy of wow, from to music to the crafting,it really is a copy in the highest degree. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OugSd7moMNE |

Why would Blizz have gotten sued? You can't patent a concept and that is all of EQ that Blizz copied. BTW wasn't EQ a rip-off from Meridian 59 and Diku-Mud? You bet your ass it was. In fact Brad McQualude and someone else I can't remember now, had to sign a statement that they didn't steal code from Diku-mud to settle a potential lawsuit. Alganon is a blatant rip-off of WoW in so many names of location and MOBs. Being that as it may the game has way more problems then that and after todays patch is basically brain dead if you can even get it to run. I walked into the port town and it took well over 15 mintues to load the trees and scenery, I thought I was in the middle of a desert and ended up in the middle of a wall. No problem just clip through the wall since the code is so crappy. Yep going to be one hell of a P2P game. Should last even less time then Dorkfail before the plug gets pulled. |

I feel really bad for everyone working on this game. I'm sure they have put in a lot of long hours to make it what it is, its just too bad they aren't being allowed to finish it. And it's too bad their bosses told them to try and make it as much like WoW as possible. |

I just want to say to the devs who made this pile. Congratulations on this steaming heap of horse shit. You deserve the loser of the year award using your key feature Lack of Imagination. Quit your job just dont ever make another game. If you are reading this. you suck. Ten people who speak make more noise than ten thousand who are silent. |

Actually, there was a screen that had "Beta Terms" that you clicked "I agree" to that stated the NDA bits. Of course, I can't imagine they can allocate too many resources to lawsuits at this point.
That would just end up being more bad press for a game that really could use some good news at this point. |

Everyone has seen the screenshots so it's no secret how the game looks. As for Blizzard suing, the only way that happens is if they can prove that the devs stole art assets (I doubt it). That being said, this is one of those times where the writing is on the wall. |

I doubt Blizzard would care enough to start a lawsuit. They will simply pretend that this game doesn't exist, wich will likely be the reality in a few months anyway. People who are interested in a game like this, but don't want to play WoW because they have already done that for the past 5 years, will instead rather play RoM for free. |
