If you want to go off of potential or how the game is intended to play once it's finished. Maybe a 7.
You have to fiddle with all your settings to get the game to work, even on a decent PC. You should go to the forums over there and see how many other players are going through all these tests and theories to why the game doesn't work. It doesn't work becaue it is not ready for public open release.
There are nodes to salvage or mine, problem is most the time you will run over to one just to find that it is bugged and you can not use it. Not that it really matters because every crafter can make the same things at a static quality level. That combined with being alowed alts on the same server makes for no economy. You can just make fighter and a crafter, your crafter goes up levels for crafting, I was able to have my crafter go up a level a day just from making ammo for my fighter. This makes it so I really did not need anyone. You hardly, if ever need to group because the aggro range is tiny. You can almost walk right up to a red without getting attacked. If it does attack you it will probably face the wrong way but still hit you.
Plenty of money, especially if you alt a crafter and use a melee as your fighter. Without having to buy all that ammo you make so much more cash than a ranged fighter.
Character models few and far between, fine you don't want to give us other races, i get it people are getting sick of elves an orcs, but that doesn't mean we all want to look the same. Don't worry to fix this they are giving out a free gas mask on halloween, then all the characters really will look the same.
The game is rated for adults, you have to enter your age just to go on the website. There is a profanity filter and the NPC's swear at you. But if someone swears on the chat channel they get screamed at by the GM, usually in a step dad style mentality, it happens so quickly that I doubt they PM the person first. Some of them just plain didn't know.
1 server and it goes down easy, not all the time, but it goes down easy. Don't bother playing on a Sunday, even if you avoid the laggy areas the game just starts to fall apart, they are nice enough to post on the forum that they admit they are having trouble. That's nice, but if your gonna be so honest with us, you could have been honest enough to tell us the game didn't work yet.
The start of both Neocron2 and this game were nearly identical experiences for me. I ran around a desert shooting at lil creatures. You could loot the creatures and craft items from the stuff they dropped. You had points that you got every level to distribute between rifle or pistol or armor usage.
The MMO community needs to put their foot down and stop accepting broken games. The only reason I am bothering to write this is because of the high score it got, that is just false. If you go to their forum all the fanboys keep making posts about coming here and spamming the vote.

I would not play a game if its ALPHA TEST was like this. FE = Unacceptable. 3/10. And yeah -- This game is Neocron 2 meets Hellgate london with the worst aspects from both games. Neocrons bad graphics and clunky interface + Hellgates very linear playstyle and solo only philosophy. -- |

I stopped reading after this first paragraph. I play the game on a system that is just below minimum specs. I installed the game, set my resolution, set the graphics to medium and I was done. 20FPS in towns and anywhere from 40-100 fps out in the wastelands.

I never had framerate or lag issues during beta, but I did find the combat controls a bit wonky, and the graphics a bit dull, but in all fairness I was wanting it to be Fallout 3: Online with built-in gamepad support. -------- The most awesomest after school special T-shirt: |

I like how the very first noob mission that starts the training quests (after the tutorial) is broken...says a lot about the game. |

Yea, I'm glad I got a trial key...just a bit too buggy for me, I'll probably give it a try a few months later. Make games you want to play. |

I have to admit the idea behind the game and the bones of the game are fine...but to think that people are paying to play it...to me it was not ready for people to pay a monthly fee. I could understand selling the software and basically having it as a paid open beta for people to log on and them to work stuff out. Then in a few months start charging if they get it together.... |

I dunno the first quest you started when you played or even if you did. All the Mission's i have done so far all worked fine I dunno what you people are playing really don't even think you even played FE. FE is not a bad game not broken like people are saying lag is really only in a few towns where there is a lot of people.
Now with that said If I had to rate FE I would rate it about a 8 or maybe 7.5 around there only reason I would is cause I hate all the damn Missions you have to do just to get the xtra ap's.
So with that said all the people who wanna cry go back 2 WoW. Cause I bet that is where half the people who are thinking bad of this game are from.
Also for the mining problem they really fixed a lot of them underworld one's I haven't ran into one since the patch. |

Log in right now and watch the help channel Deien. I believe the quest is digging up something. You are to look for a salvaged part in a barrel next to the quest giver when you first come back to life. Only one barrel in South Burb is working. All the other towns are broken and the "fix" is for everyone to run to South Burb to get the part and run back to their town. |

It is big news when it is the very first quest that starts off all the noob training quests that are chained to it. Yeah that would be pretty important and you think they would want that working when they gave out all those nice new shiny keys for people to come out and say how the first quest they tried was broken and now they were stuck....yeah that is pretty big, but not to fanbois that can not see beyond the shine of their new toy. |

All you got is name calling. I just wanted to confirm that. See, the problem with name-calling is it makes you look like a total idiot when you try to label someone and they have a distinct history of not being that. Even more so when the people who view it know this. I don't think I'll fit that label because I'm not going around saying the game is perfect or flawless. On the other hand, I'm not crying like chicken little of little things like this that will be fixed. Neither am I on a consistent crusade to hunt for such little things and then running to some forum to type them out and say "see" and then thump my chest. But hey, whatever floats your boat.
