I remember the all over internet spamming "Waaagh is coming" thingy! Where did it go?
Some while ago, there were spammings all over the world, well atleast in the internet world. Every other forum got spammed and some forums outthere seemed to be main targets for even greater spammin, WoW forums is one example. Many other games suffered the same attacks aswell.
Why....? And what happened?

I remember all the "waaaaagggghhhh" stuff as well. It was either that or people had the "WoW = Waiting on Warhammer" signature. All that hype really peaked in 2006, two years prior to the game coming out, which was a contributing factor in its failure in my opinion. By the time WAR finally did come out, the hype train had already left and no one really cared. The WAR apologists will probably try to refute this, but WAR was incredibly overhyped and all that viral marketing garbabe was being spewed all over the official WoW and other forums for a couple years. Perhaps mythic should have focused more on the game itself instead of viral marketing and making-of video blogs. |

The viral marketing and hype wouldn't have been a problem if the game released in a semi finished state. (like say 1.3.2 for instance) The fact is that WAR was about a year's worth of development off being ready. MUNDO!! |
