Wow, the patcher download is miserably slow. I've been downloading since last night around 2 am, and I still show about 16+ hours to go. I guess they're getting slammed all at once for the trials.

Got my key, updateing now. Keeps jamming, next time they do something like this hopefully they will update there download client first. My gran goes faster than these download speeds......and she's got no legs........and she's been dead 4 5 years.......see you in game everybody, been wanting to try this 4 ages:)

Honestly, I had a relatively smooth introduction. I must've beaten the rush, I had all the patches downloaded in around 8 hours, entered the game right afterwards. To be honest, I'm really enjoying it. The fact that it doesn't hold your hand, and you're free to enjoy the game as you see fit is awesome, it really sucks to hear that others have been having problems.
