"But as I said we have many tools behind the scenes to detect and prevent these criminals from ruining Aion." -Brian Knox
I play on Fregion/Asmo server. There has been the same gold seller parked in front of the bank in Pandemonium for a week. Afaddad is the name. Hasn't moved. They say they are working on it. My ass. I bet NCSOFT is the gold sellers. That dev is a lair.

I am almost believing that NCSoft is the ones behind the gold sellers in Aion because itsn't it strange that on the day the game was released that the gold sellers were spamming huge amounts of Kinah for sale? How did they get so much Kinah so fast if the game had just been released? ![]() |

I back the OP on that. I didn't resub or I'd screen shot the player he is talking about. The player has been there spamming the same thing since the game started. The player is always there. Was there a month and will be there in another. Would not surprise me at all if it was a NCSoft approved voice bot.
Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware "Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product." |

I don't see where he lies. There have been bans and every MMO's launch month isn't perfect. He probably does have tools available to help detect and ban bots. He also said this is a difficult task considering there are 40+ organized crime businesses operating and trying to make a profit in Aion. How would you do a better job? |

Just the practice a company needs to use... intrapment. Ya, if I found out a company was intraping people like that, I'd single-handedly start biggest boycott of that company they had ever seen.

I see, so you support gold buying and selling, very good. But back to the OP, who is confusing rhetoric with lies, their is a degree of difference.

You guys do realize that when they do ban a character, that another person can use that same name. It's not like they ban the name for no one else to use. They probaly should because majority of the gold spammers are just random names they type in like "asdasd", "tyytyu" , etc. Crap like that. It does seem like they are exaggerating the fact that they are banning accounts, but at the same time gold spammers steal a bunch of accounts probaly as fast as they are getting banned. Everyone has opinions, but does that make them the universal truth??? NO! |

Did I say that? No. So retract your statement. Thank you.

what i would wonder is how the gold sellers would be selling gold in the OB they said they had huge amounts and also if Aion really had the tools wouldnt the bots in the city be found first? These so called tools do not work. If anything AIon is probably selling some of the gold hence why you may see the same gold sellers and why they can stand in the same spot and not get banned for it. Im not really to sure, i didnt resub after the open beta i usually wait for the game to launch and fix the bugs and from all of the stuff ive heard im glad i didnt resub. Id rather wait for all this to be fixxed out. But anyways back on topic theres no way gold sellers can have so much gold as they say in OB and as soon as the game starts So either aion is lying and has some Aion gold selling bots hence the ones you always get the pms from and are always in the same spot and never get caught. Or there tools suck and the Gold sellers are lying there asses off about how much kinah they have. i dont know thats just what i think. |
