Aion is by far the best mmo ever made, some people may say it's boring and comparing it to WoW, some say that there is too much of a " Grind " every MMO has it's grind even WoW , and personaly, wow's grind was even worse, looking at a cheaply created character swing a sword or whatever in the same distasteful way over and over is almost enough to make you hurl. What I find funny is people comparing WoW to Aion, they are both different games, but in my opion, Aion takes it. The game is balanced in the PvePvP section of the game, even wows PvP system is a god damn joke, make a ret pally and you'll be unstoppable, I think if blizzard changed the PvP system to a more balanced, equaled system, people would leave that shitty excuse for a mmo in a heart beat. The reason why some people leave Aion is because the game is too " Hardcore " for them, they can't handle a true raid, or true PvP let alone the crafting where you actualy have to WORK to make something. These people want a cookie cutter MMO, if that is the case, then you wasted fifty bucks on buying Aion, to those WoW Fanbois out there, if ya can't handle Aion, gtfo and go play your little newb toons in WoW, or stick with your consoles because those are the only things you can play! |

Putting your Aion Sig and telling everybody about you being lv 26 is a bad idea.

While Im currently subbed to Aion, it is far far farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr from the best mmo ever. Plus I like how you compare it to WoW, say its better than WoW and that automatically makes it the best mmo ever? PvP balance is a joke in Aion, sorry to tell you. Sorcs can 1 shot other classes with their DP skill, Sins, Templars and Glads cant do crap in arial pvp due to the bad coding that always gets you the "You are to far away" message even when your character is inside them. Im not sure how you can say going to the crafting trainer, getting a work order, purchasing all the mats off the npc next to the trainer and hitting make all is working to get your skill up. Go try crafting in games like UO and SWG and let me know how "hard" Aion's crafting really is. And raids are all easy mode. None of the bosses do anything special that is even remotly difficult. Your 26 which means all youve done so far is TC and while TC is fun, its still a joke. FT is just as easy and just amounts to bashing your way through the same mobs till you get to a boss, then repeating till you get to the end boss, its no different than WoW's raiding system. |

I caught that, too. I get the distinct impression that Aion and WoW are the only MMO's they've played. Been through a third of the content, and it's the "best MMO evva!". LOL! reminds me of all the AoC lvl 20's "Tortage roxxors! Best MMO evva!!!!!!!!111!!!!"... |

Are you all mad??
How can a game that has big gold boxes appear in swamps with ummpity-jillion hit points that you can only do one point of damage to per hit not the most bestest thing EVER in an MMO?
And the big gold boxes are HARD compared to the bosses. They have almost as many abilities and move around about as much.
Compare this to the C'thun fight if you even know what that is. I'll just tell you that it was a bit more complex than anything Aion has to offer, what with the laser beam eye melting people and tentacles coming up through the floor to drag you into the monsters lair underneath the fight and all the rest. Aion is PONG compared to those fights.
And that's just the one other MMO that I have experience with. I'm sure there are others that are even harder.

Because 95% of the kiddy community of WoW never had the attention span to actually stay in a group long enough to even start, let alone finish Ahn'Qiraj |

I play Aion, and by no means is it the "best game evah". It's sort of fun, certainly nothing that hardcore about it, but since we are talking about personal preference, I still prefer EVE. "Just because you aren't paying doesn't mean it's not PTW." - Amaranthar |

Lol. I dont get it how people can be so stupid and say that or that game is best without giving any reasons. Aion may be best in simple these days MMORPG category, but do you forget that there are other types of mmorpg? Lets take Atlantica Online. Strategical RPG. It is better then Aion ( at least for me) Or Ryzom. Sort of sandbox . It is way better then Aion ( at least for me) Or Entropia. Sci-fi sandbox. It is way better then Aion ( at least for me) Or any other of many games which are different from usual MMORPG like WoW.

Just pass on having an opinion if your MMORPG-'history' consists of World of Warcraft WoW and Guildwars WoW and Diablo2 WoW and Guildwars and Diablo2 or, best variant, the true MMORPG veteran WoW, Guildwars, Diablo2 AND ADDITIONALLY a random F2P title, like Runescape, or Archlord... And yes, in my book, you're _not_ entitled to have any valuable opinion on MMORPGs in general if you have not played any real MMORPG besides WoW (and by that I mean any one real MMORPG (UO, EQ, EQ2, SWG, AC, SB, DaoC, L1, L2, you name it...))... I find Aion to be a great game as of now. It has the chance to be right up there with other games I found to be great but I need to see more of the game. If I could cure my alt addiction then I might get to see the rest of the game. :P |

oh yea, and as far as I know, any game can only be judged after you've hit end game. Remember WAR? Remember AoC? - Those games even grabbed some major awards, people were LOVING these games during the first 4 weeks, and what happened... ARMIES of people left them after they realized how the endgame looked... Remember, you spend 1, 2 months leveling, at best, and the rest of your time depends on what the game offers endgamewise! If you stick to a game for years it must deliver AFTER the first months. M |

Originally posted by Meridion Well unfortunately that means that only a VERY few people will ever reach the point at which the game can truly be judged. Only the very most hardcore players with the most free time will ever have the patience to reach the end game as it is currently designed... In my opinion, if the game is too much of a grind and is not fun enough to level through, it is not a good game. Games should be about fun first and foremost. It is foolish business practice on NCSoft's part to design a game where only the most hardcore can succeed. ESPECIALLY in a PvP-oriented game. That just leads to massive level imbalances between those with no lives and those with real world obligations outside of the game. At least in the North American market, that pretty much guarantees that the game will never reach mass market appeal. I am glad that the game seems to appeal to many of you though. It should give the grind-lovers something to keep them thoroughly occupied so that they don't complain about every other game being too easy. Which of course has nothing to do with difficulty or skill... merely time required. |

Maybe Aion doesn't have anything that difficult but I believe being an Elyos and trying to down a World Boss in Aion and killing Asmodians at the same time much more difficult and unpredictable than any instanced PvE encounter. |

So, which is the same as wows world bosses eg, the green dragons pre tbc, and the TBC ones. They were world bosses, and with pvp servers u had to worry about guilds actually killing you doing these bosses, or random questers jumoig in and aoeingpeople or killing 1 or 2 people. So please dont act like it hard in aion, coz its not.
Hell fell reaver in hellfire peninsula coupled with pvp server is more unpredicatble than aion. |

WoW does have world bosses correct but most of the time they go untouched. True, when Burning Crusade went live an event like that would be fun and chaotic. The difference is instanced PvE is more important than world bosses in WoW and therefore there really isn't the mass pvp during a raid. In Aion the world bosses are end game and on par with other gear so you will get massive fights over control of a raid in Aion while in WoW people are stuck in instances all day for both PvE and PvP. For the most part World PvE and PvP is dead in WoW since everything that matters is done in an instance. I often find people joking that the entire open world of WoW is simply the most elaborate game lobby ever constructed and the game would be just as fun if it was a Battle.net lobby room where you could join from a list of battlegrounds and instances. As a matter of fact you can now join a battleground from anywhere. World PvE and PvP is dead in WoW. I like to think of WoW is the best game for instanced pve and pvp and Aion is the best for world pve and pvp. |

Alot of the WoW kids wont be able to handle a game like Aion. Their used being handed free epics and instance meaningless PvP. Thankfully Aion has none of those features, its a game made for the MMO purist. OP there's is a reason AION was reviewed as the best game ever released on this very site.... everyone in Aion is having a blast!
