I think it is a bit silly to expect a free trial of a game that just came out. If all MMO's did this they would make a lot less money. Free trials are used to bring people in once the server populations have stabilized or are in decline. I have been playing the game for a week and I have had no logon or lag issue except for one evening when the server had issues for an hour. I expected this from a new mmo group and I am happy with the progress they are making. This game company reminds me of CCP (Eve Online). If they keep up the good work they will be just as successful and the game will be just as good, except I hope they dont have all the crime and scandals as Eve does. I see GM's in the help channel every time I am on, I have not seen this level of support in a game, ever. No offense, but if you haven't hit 50 by now, you kinda are less of a player - Cthulhu23 The very idea that SV is in financial trouble is wrong. The numbers they release from time to time are just that, numbers. -Username509 |

You also have to remember WoW has been out for 5 years and is running multiple shard servers. FE is one game world for everyone and is new. IDK to much about WoW's launch but Im guessing it wasn't smooth. I bet the servers were down and they had other bugs as well. Everyone just compares it to the machine we now call WoW and not the new WoW. Never really had any problems with the GM's so idk what thats all about. |

"Am i the only one that thinks Fallen Earth is asking to muck for new players. There a new company what on craed and there mmo is so different from any other mmo out there you can come pare it to anything. The game has not been reviewed by most of the top game sites in the main stream gaming word and has not Head and main stream media coverages scents E3 09. So if your not a hard core mmo player like me you hardly even know there is a game called fallen earth."
Well at least you managed to spell the game title properly. Sorry but my eye's and mind could not read past the 1st paragraph. |

There my eyes are no longer bleeding and I think I get the jist of what you're saying. The Grammar Police can probably still pick it apart but it's at least understandable. While I disagree with your assertion about the reviews I can only respond that buying a game is a personal choice. What you are willing to pay for things is your decision alone and no one can answer that question for you. Standard practice is to charge the standard price and I don't personally find it onerous. I can certainly understand why some would think the price is too much and the need for a free trial is apparent. You'll just have to wait until they offer one or pay the money. After all it's always a crapshoot to invest any time and money in a game. Especially when there's no way to forecast how you will feel about it six months down the road. Your not actually paying the $15 a month yet as you get a free 30 days of game time included, and if you are still playing after 30 days then it was a good investment. And honestly $50 seems like a lot, but its not for an unlimited amount of entertainment for an entire month. Last weekend I went to the state fair, cost me $30 to just get in, and then I spent another $30 for food and such for my girlfriend and I, and it was another $10 for the train ride into the city. So for 1 days worth of fun, I spent $70. Going out to eat, or to the movies on a Friday night will normally run you about $20+ (and a lot more if you get drinks) for just 1 night. I dont think $30 more for an entire months worth of fun is really asking to much. Also most game companies don't launch their free trials till well after a year that the game has been out, and some still don't have free trials or just started trials. I know FFXI only started free trials some time within the last year I believe. |

I don't understand posts like these. The player base is growing instead of shrinking as the common formulas postulate, despite the hefty price tag. The game has pretty solid good reviews and a fan base that is in love with the game. They incorporate a lot of events that include free trials, why would they give the golden fleece away? Icarus has a runaway hit and is as far from garage indie game development as you can get. |

look i am some one new to mmos and i did not no most cost $50 when thay frist start and i still think it maybe to muck to ask for a new IP and a new commpeny that untested. I am not saying the game is not worth the $50 but till i play it i don't really know. now that i know that most game start out like this i have no purplem what it. I would close this topic down for good but i can't so it just say open. any way most game reveiws i can find gave the game a 6 of 10 wink is ok but not great and G4 or IGN or any other top gameing wed site about more then just mmos that i know of have not gaven a reveiw of the game yet . there site i turst and if thay don't reveiw it i just don't know. |

Infact, its new company (Indy too) and has a great IP, they have all the right to ask for 50 bucks. I have paid 50 for lots worse (AION, WAR, AOC etc) titles release by well known developers. If game has quality the price tag is justified, which is 100% true in case of Icarus. Also IGN reviewed FE and gave it 8.1 |

really ign reviewed fallen earth that's news to me . I look for a review just this morning and came out short. Would you mind posting a link for me. I am not saying the game is not awesome .it may be justified in it asking cost but i have not played it so i really don't know. The IP sounds could but what sound cool may not always be. I know the fallen earths players and game makers really love there game and i think i can see why but $50 and a monthly fee is asking all. I would have to play the game and it blow me away to spend that muck money. |

lol IMO Fallen earth isnt too great. There isnt really much of a community or anything to me. Its basically just running around killing shit, farming shit to make guns for a creafter, ect. There are more other fun games out there like aion, or T4C with same graphics or better. |

Cool, different people with different taste. Nothing wrong with that. For me AION is garbage even though you enjoy it. |

i like to see people tanking different people views what good taste . just because some one thinks different from you does not make them wrong. " fallen earth IGN review says ( prepared to spend most of your time soloing. ) nothing could make me happier then soloing a mmo most people in mmos that i have played up till now work really badly as a party and suck at team pvp .they can't get over themselves and work as a time. So playing PVE alone sound great to me. I only like making a party for team pvp and that only when the people in the party work will together. |

hell even i don't think you can find something like that when was the last time the head of the gaming company even talked to you on another mmo wed site. He went out of hes why to post on my topic ask about a free trial for fallen earth . sure he was mad as hell about the post but he still posted in my forum topic. something like that never happens on any other mmo wed site. I think that really cool Even if he was ranting and raving at me most of the time. |
