People already said, that the quest XP past level30 is such a joke, that one single Elite mob already gives more XP then most of the quests in that levelrange. Cheers
Liar liar pants on fire. If you do repeat quests you won't get much EXP, but the quest rewards are fine from 30+ I haven't hit 50 yet so I can't say it will stay this way, but to say that the quest EXP past 30 is a joke obviously never played an MMO. What I believe is the biggest problem with the game is that it isn't linear at the later levels. They don't say "go here for all your new quests". If you actually explore a bit your quest log will always be full. People hate it when a game holds their hand, but complain when they have no direction. |

I can understand why someone might complain about the grind, but not when they turn around and say they got to level 75 in Lineage 2? Guess OP botted or something because L2 was a horror, especially past 50 and like some folks said, it could take 8 hours in a good group to gain 1%.

Originally posted by Furor Just those two highlighted sentences just goes to show he know does not know what grind is. Hell L2 is more of a grind than Aion is. Oh and saying there is no instances at 40+ is also a lie there are at least four instances. |

Yeah, tons of those. So many quests are just so poorly design and petty reward that I wonder why make those quests in the first place, why just replace the whole meaningless text that tell you to go kill 30 of this type of mob and repeat that 100 times with 1 sentence "Go grind you dumb ass!" Quests were supposed to soften the grind and hid it right? Most quests in AION don't even bother to do that except some in the campaign chain. |

And also - for the record... I doubt Furor played L2 OR Aion... based on his comments - at least to the levels he indicated. The people who reply with "he's telling the truth" makes me rofl even more....
Obvious troll is obvious.... what I don't get is... why are you people still here complaining about a game you so-called "hate"? |

I believe a major flaw in this game is not the fact that there is a grind, but the fact there is no grind worth repeating (as in experience the grind in a new settings or world) other than a new class. Which is needless to say, not enough. MMOs Played: I can no longer list them all in the 500 character limit. |

If you enjoy what you are doing then it is not a grind, regardless of how long you do it if you are having fun. If you don't enjoy what you are doing and only doing it to get to the next stage of something, then that is a grind. That only gets worse the longer the grind is.

You didn't really play Lineage 2... or you played in a private server (that alone kills any credibility) and think you're a "grind veteran" because you leveled in a x10 rate or something like that. The first ones to reach 50 in Aion took around 300 hours to reach that level, which is half of what you would need to gain... a level. Anyway, you have so many options as the game goes on (much different than the single starting areas linear feeling you get early in the game), the only fact that is right is that you can't go 1-50 if you're only doing quests. You'll need to kill monsters outside of quest objectives, that's where the possibilities come as you do have options of where to do so and if you want to do it in a solo area or in a group area. |

It's not the grind that turned me off.. i've played plenty of F2P asian grinder games and XP grinding is nothing new to me. What turned me off Aion is the lack of instanced dungeon content and also the game feels soul-less. That coupled with all the annoying gold spammers and asshat community turned me off completely. I quit at level 25 too when the game started to feel boring and empty. Aion is a good game just that there's something lacking which I can't seem to put my finger on. |
