Well, instead, they make bot that spam with a fake name and the players go to the site or something. Dont just post it, try to gold farm to see how its suppose to be. If you dont spam, your site wont even hit 1000 clicks. You might get only 100 and none of them would want to buy your stuff or maybe just 2 of them, but then, it would be a waste. Played DF trial for 2 weeks none stop. Check out my pvp video during trial.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJnU_JEqKRM |

And that's what makes open PVP games superior to themeparks....we decide wtf is going on in the gameworld... even more than say a sandbox like EVE which has empire space....
Sorry, that's not special treatment. Everyone plays by the same rules regardless of style. Daarco said it like the sellers were in bed with the developers or something. Which, given Aventurine's track record, wouldn't surprise me at all.
Superior to themeparks? That's debatable and purely an opinion. Not even worth discussion. As far as comparing Darkfall to other games? I find it as nothing more than a sad attempt to somehow prop up Darkfall and Aventurine. The truth is, Darkfall, with the exception of being "3D", can't even compare with a game that is 12 years old.
Player justice 4TW. How's that working out? Because it wasn't working when I quit in June. In fact, it has never worked in an MMO, and for Aventurine to think that it would magically work for them is beyond naive. Raph Koster has a few articles as to why posted on his site, if anyone cares to read them.
As for gold sellers, I have already stated that Aventurine has all Asian countries blocked, but add that to the dismal population and the lack of a free trial, there aren't going to be too many. And at $50+ a pop, there probably never will be.
Then again, who cares? Or was this just another attempt to "prop" up Darkfall? Until Darkfall can hold it's own, on it's own merits, let's at least leave the horns and cymbals packed away. Let's just stop all the "my dad can beat up your dad" nonsense. Deal? DarkFall FAQ - Read then Question with Boldness |

Okay, so in a game, with an open pvp environment, you spam, people learn your toons name, they track you, kill you, make life difficult for you and maybe take your money. May not be that big of a deal if you have multiple accounts, but if you don't, then it is a very big deal, and you have marked yourself. Follow that train of thought? Now, in DFO, you don't see spammers (from what others are saying), but if you google DFO gold, you clearly see it being sold online. That's how they make their money, openly on the web if you look for it, but in secret on DFO itself. They don't want people to know who they are, because one character per account makes it a difficult prospect at best. So, no spamming. So, why don't you think again cupcake. The gold is being sold, there is no doubting that, and from what I can understand, there has been no spamming in the chat channels. Riddle me that. |

Good point. But Aion do have more players and you have more use of gold in it. Therefor it have more goldsellers. just simple magic. NC soft have been rather slow to try to stop the gold sellers also, it doesn't help either but most goldsellers foocus on a few of the largest games. I play EQ2, it is a lot larger compared to DF but I only got 2 spamms in 2 years. Of course have many of the goldspammers also a huge advantage since they have played the game for ayear on a asian server, they know a lot better than most people how to get money. |

Yeah, I know it's found in every MMO, not arguing that or trying to point it out as something special in DFO. This was a point being made at Real who seems to think something along the lines of no spammers means no clicks on sites means no business for these sellers selling in secret in the game. Merely showing that it exists, spammers or not. A simple google search reveals a lot. |
