What is it with MMOs being released this year all have a stupid price tag attached to them. I guess its got a bit better now you can pick up aion on steam for £34.99 in the UK but thats still more expensive than normal games. I have probally played most MMOs out there and currently dont think any would be worth this price tag.. so is aion different is it worth it ?

Well, I havn't played it myself; nor looked at it all that much. However, it seems to be getting much better responses than any of the other mmorpgs recently released. So.. it may be worth giving it a try. Look up some gameplay videos and see for yourself, I guess. |

that's only 52 US bucks, I think that's actually cheaper than what I payed over here. It's certainly cheaper than most games nowadays, what are you talking about lol. ![]() |

I can pick up most games on release for £29.99 and they dont have a monthly fee lol.. oook so its only £5 difference but i liek my cash LOL :)
also if its true and this is just one big grind of basically the same kill quest over and over i may as well go sign up to one of the free asian mmos... and save myself £35 LOL |

The difference like you said that's a single player while the other is an online game. When X mmo is new their price is high and in a month or 2 start to get cheaper it's normal. |

Take a look at game.co.uk and you will see Left for Dead 2, Borderlands and a few other soon to be released games are at £24.99. Game currently has it with £10 off at 34.99 - Source Amazon.co.uk has it for £44 - Source
I suspect that is what he is talking about lol |

Simple answer. NO not worth it at all. Do you not read the other posts in this form? Take game play out of it for a second you may or may not like Aion as a whole personal oppinion and game play style very. Just look at all the bot and gold seller threads if this does not turn you off to the game or just make you want to wait a few weeks or months till this is fixed then by all means get the game, but you are not getting a collectors edition and the normal verson is not going any where any time soon so my advice is to just wait a bit to see how the curent problems work them selves out. |

Single Player Games nowadays give me 8-20 hours entertainment value. A new MMO with a free month I'll spend more than 80 hours during that month playing it and thats generous. These games have cut my entertainment costs drastically. True a good single player game is worth it but I will be less likely to buy the "iffy" B games and just stick to buying the AAA blockbuster single player games.
MMO's are one of the cheapest forms of entertainment you can find. I can't see price being an issue here. Of course if you don't like the game then it is a waste but that was what Beta was for. |

I'd say more like 25-28, so you're paying too much, change the store you're buying from :) |
