Above all, I have gathered all my stuff in about 75 hours on the character I'm speaking about. So there is really something wrong with how you are playing the game, not with the game itself. Aion has probably the most easy ways of making money of all the games I played.

 

To each their own. I can't spend hours and hours killing same stuff over and over :) I do quests, kill from a to b.. turn it in, get rewards, kill more, watching my back to avoid being ganked, sell stuff to broker.. and why should I just keep doing it? It's repetitive. The game is fun, but not fun enough to keep my subscription intact.

Well, everything gets repetitive in the end. Maybe you are searching for something for a little more "sandbox". But I can tell you that there are very, very few games that fall into that description. I went hunting for a new MMO myself the past two weeks. And the only thing that's currently in for the final verdict are Aion and Fallen Earth. Ryzom fell off because it has such a tiny community and I don't see any bright future for the game (as in expansions and things like that). I may be wrong, but I'm not willing to take the chance.

EVE Online is practically the most sanboxy game at the moment, but personally I can't relate to a spaceship as being my avatar, and the setting of the game in general. I just feel very out of place in the EVE universe. For some weird reason it feels like a very empty and creepy world to me.

 maybe you should just find a guild or a group of players to play mmos with and just play whatever game their playing, being in a group and having people to experience the game with will always make it better

LOL, is it really a violation of any NDA to say what basically amounts to "this game sucks and is full o' bugs"?

And I'm pretty sure the "legal action" they'd be limited to is denying the person the ability to play in the future. And it sounds like she's not exactly lining up to do that as it stands now.

I didn't say anything specific about the game.. JUST OUT OF THE GAME... Damn. I know there couldn't be any legal actions to be taken, but I just did it out mere common courtesy.

I'm currently playing Vanguard. I've succummed to it.. despite the fact I told myself it's never going to happen again. I think it's different this time around.

 Quick note, I Did NOT READ the rest of this thread but here's my two cents:

I was looking for something else for awhile too. Usually i can keep myself entertained but keeping my gf, a non MMO player before WoW, entertained was a whole bigger problem. We tried the usual new games, Aion, CO and some older games I like, CoH mainly but she just wasn't happy and honestly I prefer PVP so was headed somewhere else eventually anyway. We ended up just trying out a few older game trials, EQ2, ran away pretty quick, DOO, same, LoTRo, lack of what I call PvP got me out of there quick AoC couldn't keep either of us hooked. Nothing F2P worked out either including BrightShadow which I figured had a shot, or RoM so we ended up of all places, WAR.

We're still running through the 10 day trial but she likes it and after the 1.3.2 patch so am I, not that I don't think it needs a few more things, quicker meele combat would be nice and a few more starting spells, she actually ran into the High Elf healer (can't remember the class name) with just one spell, but so far it's kept her attention. Re running the first Public Quest we ran into four times to get the best loot we could was the only thing she gripped about and once I explained that we were basically doing a short repetitive raid she got it. She still hates the fact, and I gotta agree, that PQ chest loot is based on your efforts AND a roll, WTH... so for instance we ended up the third time through, doing the entire PQ, as placing 5th and 7th as far as how much we participated but with the roll ended up 8th and 11th? granted I ended up 2nd the second time through and the roll bumped me up to 1st but it seems pretty trivial to throw that roll into the mix.

I should say we only got to the second section of the Destruction side and the first of the Order so I haven't checked out the PvP yet but I liked what I saw in beta and after launch enough that I'm not too worried. The new main starting areas are nice (new to 1.3.2 I believe) because I could roll an Empire and she a High Elf and still play together without the added hassle of travel or for the sake of WoW players, walking a cow past the pastures and Barrens to go meet up with an Orc, although I heard there is a blimp now. A nice bonus, if you can call it that, is the price tag. You're basically paying an extra $5 for WAR and honestly if they thought about it should just ask whether you even want to pay for the client and get the "free month of play" when it might be cheaper for them and more enticing to some players to just open an account for the price of the first month's play if they liked the trial enough. 

Sorry I'm starting to ramble here, I'm on 100mg of PredniSONE for a few days and it definitely is ramping me up. If you're looking for a decent PvP experience wrapped around what I'd call an interesting and very class specific game, as in you aren't gonna end up hating that troll hunter after 50 levels when you see what your gf can do better with her orc, then try out WAR, it is, what I have seen of it so far, better than at launch and so far there's quite a bit of activity on the two servers I can access.

You can't even say your in the beta if you actually took the time to read it, and ye saying anything about game content being bugged is against NDA. I'm not quite sure what kind of legal actions can be taken but i read a thread on there forums saying there looking into posts here on this site and actions owuld be taken. I'm not bashing just warning you...
