You're the one that brought level of education into this discussion when you belittled the guy for just having a GED - if you had left it at that sentence alone it would of been fine but in your closing paragraph you reinforced it by calling him uneducated.  The implication is that you view those with a GED as uneducated.  Again, you say you have "irl friends wich i consider cultured...", but cultured is not the same as educated is it?  Don't be suprised if people take offense to your views, because to them, you come off as a snob.

To the OP:  Raid MMORPGs are already trending towards what you touched upon in this thread - much of the boss fights are positional fights to the point that the combat portion of the fight is not really necessary and can be done away with.  Tank and spank and aggro control is a thing of the past, and if they're not necessary, then why are they making us still fight?

1. This whole thing got derailed because of one user posting an insulting comment. Now theres certainly people out there who seem to think the right answer to such posts is to just ignore them and "stop feeding the troll" but its certainly my prerogative to engage whoever attacks me. Amittedly i may have come off as a snob in doing so, which seems to have prompted others to respond, but i would consider it a more arrogant attitude that they would attempt to enforce their standards upon me. I dont have a problem with people posting br if thats the only way they can manage to comunicate, but people becoming upset about me using words they may be unfamiliar with proves but their own intolerance. If anyone has a problem understanding anything i write they can ask politely for an explanation, ive certainly done the same many times in forums.

2. While i do not fault you for implying me to have an elitist view of education, i can honestly say i meant no such thing. Yes, cultured is not the same as educated but the latter is a term which would hardly apply to the unschooled no matter how cultivated they may be. Personally i would consider a person educated if satisfying the requirements of a classical education (trivium, quadrivium and history) regardless of their schooling. So let me rephrase, ive met both educated people with only a high school curriculum in academic studies, and uneducated persons holding advanced academic degrees. Ive also met people who educated themselves as well as those whose development was dependant on others. Whatever your standard in such regard you must grant me not all people can be refered to as educated (or else the term becomes relativistic and useless) although all are equally deserving of respect and dignity.

Now, someone celebrating ignorance i will call uneducated (perhaps worse) and rightly so.

I will give you a little bit knowledge. When a person tells you a story and uses allot of detail it is most likely false or consisted of many false statements. Almost all people subconsciously tell stories thinking the other person knows the small details.

It’s like the first thing people are taught when entering management in large companies…

 Yeah, a lot of people with advanced degrees who are in academics are pretty poor (university professors, even if they do research, are still poor by a lawyer's standard and probably impoverished by yours). I know you're wealthy with connections and I don't want trouble, so I'll stfu, because when it all boils down to it education is not what matters, but who you know and what you have.

You are very likely unfamiliar with true poverty if you think university professors in North America have it bad. I agree that people in teaching positions and academics in general are grossly underpaid (and that most lawyers earn much more than what they deserve) but they are far from being at the forefront in matters of social grievances.

And this has nothing to do with people showing their education through what they post.
