In answer to the OP's title: I'll believe it when I see it. I applaud the OP for his faith in a game that we've yet to see much about. And as much as I like what Ragnar did with their viral marketing of TSW in the beginning, I'm not convinced this game will be anything more than "meh". |

Looks like a cool premise but if funcom is behind it I'll probably pass. |

If FC can bring AoCs graphics and combat system into a solid, stable, and polished world, they might have a hit. They know how to make a great combat system. Its all the little things that keep someone playing for more than a week at a time that they suck at. www.agonysend.org |

Whats really good about this game is that there are 3 factions. This is a proven Hit quality in a mmo of this style if anyone remembers planetside. 3 is the magic number for greatness. Plus everything else is strictly new and never been done and refreshing. |

WOW- I like what I am seeing. Not a WOW killer because I doubt the average WOW fanbase will go for this- Me? I'm sold already =P I am a member of the Illuminati and now VERY much looking forward to this. Please dont screw it up Funcom =/ Looks really cool- Thanks for this bro. |

I am already keeping an eye out for this game. The concept is really cool and seems really different (something that has been lacking for a while in MMOs). But I've seen too many games with great concepts end up dying before they make it to release, i.e. Trials of Ascension. I do hope this one makes it and it lives up to its description, but with so little information about the game so far, I'm not holding my breath. I'm not really hoping any game will be a "WoW Killer" as much as a game coming out that is interesting to play and offers something new since most games out there now are either old or have nothing that interesting to offer.

I just dig the unknown of this game. Most are morons and think they can relate this game to others...yer wrong morons.... "This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to. Relax....." |

Sorry to say but I believe FC haven't learned from their mistakes. Why? Because they believe they are right regardless of the evidence before them. Surveys are taken, and then ignored. The community makes recommendations, which are ignored. They haven't actually addressed some of the glaring issues that some people have with AOC e.g. trying to flesh out what is already in the game and providing some of the features that the general MMO public expects from games these days (like a meaningful progression system for all playstyles instead of a half-hearted approach). Also, I fear that in all probability Anarchy Onlines "facelift" (whereby AO will be using the AOC engine but without a texture upgrade to make use of it) will probably be met with indifference by those who don't currently play that game. Which is another waste in my opinion. In short, FC will do what FC wants (as is their right) and to hell with opinions that differ to theirs. And that is there downfall. |

Call me cynical and maybe selfish... ... but I'd prefer a game I'm interested in playing *not* be a WoW killer. A solid, healthy player base, enough to keep it going and growing with the developers able to profit from it is fine with me. And anyway.... Do we really need a new MMO to hate? Just like WoW replaced EQ as the "go to" MMO to bash or cry "Clone!" about, any MMO that does "dethrone" WoW is only going to fill that same role.

I don't hate Funcom. I just think they're incompetent and can't make a fun game if their life depended upon it =) But I'm willing to try another one of their games. They always look nice for the most part. They might play like a$$, but their heart is in the right place, hehe. |

Most people here wouldn't even know what Funcom did....let alone why they couldn't hold down solid food for their first 18 months as a baby.... "This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to. Relax....." |

Just as people on the SWTOR forums blindly believe that it cannot fail, people need to be wary that just because Ragnar is at the helm, he can still mess it up. Remember Brad Mcquaid and Richard Garriott. Both showed us that no matter what your previous achievements, you can still screw the pooch. |
