I've played it all..paid for it all... been back in AOC for a long while now, and this is by far the best exp i've had in an mmo.. if ur not playing AOC your truly missing out. but your computer can't suck, b/c the graphics in this game are simply awesome.. unless you don't care what it looks like. |

Just out of curiosity.. what is it that you like so much? would be interesting to hear. Game has some of the best questing i've ever exp'ed in an mmo. Graphics are simply gorgeous. Satisfaction of getting a kill is anything but boring. Overall feel of the progression feels addictive. Environment interaction is very nicely done. Plenty of content. The siege/guild city pvp is very fun.. got to do my first one the other day. You level up, reach your maxx level and come back here and tell me it's not the best mmo you have played. They have it really polished up since i was last in the game around launch, and with the new expansion in the horizon.. it's looking like a sleeping giant.
It doesn't have the social/kill time addiction that you have with other mmos like wow.. where your playing the game and continue you to play it, but your not having really any actual fun at all.. it's quite boring.. where ur just playing the game for the social aspect or for the sake of playing something.. This game delivers the fun factor. Something i think other mmos only capture for a slight moment..like wow. The only fun thing bout doin the end game raiding was being in the new content for the first time, and after that it felt like an unwanted job where you just wanted to be paid. Do yourself a favor..if you have a good computer, you owe to yourself to be playing AoC on DX10..not b/c graphics mean everything, but b/c the graphics enhance the great experience of the gameplay. |

I think you will find many disagree on the content part. It has a lot of content now, but for the ones who played since launch this game needs content asap. |

The only exception is EverQuest 2 so far, as there they truly still have some very hard RAID content. But then again. In that game it's really only the top 3-5% of the RAID guilds who manage to do it. Don't know if that's such a good thing either. Just my 2 cents on this matter. |

It's the best themepark, low-fantasy MMORPG set in the Conan universe out there. Saying anything else is only opinion :) That said, I like it, and I'm having a blast. |

Yeah I'd say everything is pretty awesome apart from content (there is a lot of content to keep you busy, but once you've done a lot of it you need more), i quit about a month ago, probably will resub when the next big patch hits ( PvP towers , New Tier of raids etc) or when the expansion is ready for release. |

Both yes and no, comparing the content with WoW is not a wise thing to do as WoW is one of the game that really offers more then enough content for everyone. You have normal dungeons, raids etc, then you have hard version of them and heroic group instances, lots of factions to grind etc etc. WoW has more then enough content for people to do, but once you have grinded all of the factions and instances of course there will be some who feels the game lack content. but these hard core players who max everything is impossible to fully please. For the average player however WoW have all the content in the world. AoC lacks content for the average player who have played a ong time, hopefully the next patch will sort a bit of that out. :) |

Best MMO?
That's fairly subjective. I'm surprised this thread hasn't imploded to the point of singularity with a concentration of AoC/Funcom -bashing.
But, yeah. AoC is the best MMO out at the mo' (imo;) |

I don't consider wow's content anything spectacular, because everything in the game has the exact same feeling.. when your trying to progress towards the reward. It's all "Sigh* lets get it over with" |

AoC is a tad bit different then the rest mmo`s. AoC is not my "main" mmo. But a good second to go when I need something refreshing. After Commons got released the gap in the 70-80 level range is less grindy:) |

This games downfall to me goes as follows. As a new player you start a class and decide, hmm I don't really like this class. So you start another character and decide, hmm I don't really like this class either. So you start another and by now you have played through Tortage several times and are bored, game over. If only I could find the class I really like the first time OR, let me do it again, OR....they could have different starting areas for different races or perhaps even classes. Tortage was awesome my first time through, the second time, "Meh" and the third, "fuck me". Currently Playing: Toying around with AoC and bored with Darkfall Thinking of Playing: Fallen Earth or Darkfall after this months update. Have Played: EQ1, EQ2, WoW, WAR, Vanguard, EvE, Requiem, PW, Lotro, Lineage2, AoC, SWG... |

Which is why I no longer play the game, boredom set in a lot earlier on AoC for me than any other game I have played. I have not"played them all", but i have played enough to know that this was not the game promised. |

Aion has held steady at #4 per X fire while AoC has lost over half the X fire players in th elast 3 months, I would love the explaination for why 60% fewer players are playing ifrom 3 mos ago if you hold the game is so great. To make a long story short no on ehas to bash AOC< as it is redundant and after free trials I'm sure most MMO players know how bad the game is. Bad nuff to drive players and free subs out in droves, is the answer. to that rhetorical question.
K going to nap b4 playing more AIon! Funcom has reviewed all of its assets relevant for |

Finally you got something other to do than bash AoC 16 hours a day! I was wondering why this forums section was less hatefull lately.... Hopefully Aion will suit your taste good. Just like AoC suits our taste in MMO. And thb; aoc have a free trail again. If you wonder how AoC is now just get a trail and check for yourself:)

Now continue on with trying to lure the last person or two who has never played the game or retried it into giving it a shot |

Still has more unique hits here than some other games over the past 6 months I would say the forums here are just fine. I don't know if you noticed the half a dozen troll/alt accounts that were banned in the past couple weeks. I am still happy to continue to pay a sub to AoC as I do other mmo's. I find parts in AoC that I can't get in other games. Might not be the best mmo out there but it covers lots of ground other games can't touch. I'd rather FC keep tight lipped about the expansion till nearer release and in the meantime there are plenty of people looking forward to 1.06.

Currently is a little boring, but they announced big changes in PvP and work to improve PvP. Encouraging thing is really trying to please the players. One of the things that interested me is the PVP Tower, a large notice in improving the balance of the team .. etc. These are great things, and even the little things we know about expansion. hmm |
