You better hope the Republican party doesn't die out:) The VAST majority of our military is Republican- like 80+%. Same statistic holds true with the police forces in this country. If you got your wish and the Republican party fizzled out, who do you suppose would protect your sorry asses ?? |

Some of that stuff is still being worked on. I don't know what you mean by "no legal rights." Also, don't lump Iraq and Afghanistan into the same pile. Oh don't forget the bright side. By intensifying Bush's habit of money printing he diminished the value of the dollar so much that the Nobel Peace Prize which use to pay out an amount of kroner equal to 1 milion dollars still pays out the same amount of Kroner but it is not worth 1.4 million! Stroke of genius if you ask me increasing his prize money by tanking the currency.

and yea the majority of military members are republican, but when the uniform is on you are non-partisan. You will be arrested for expressing any public opinions over issues while in uniform. As will any officer for saying anything negitive about any member of the government. Now out of uniform is another story, thats considered you time. |

I don't think it would need to be a draft. Let's say tomorrow, the Republican Party just ceased to be. Does that mean that the military and the police would just disappear? Of course not.
