Just want to pipe in and burst some bubbles some might have about Dawntide in its current form. It's rough. Really rough. The game is nowhere near ready for the public in general. It's not a marketing "beta", it's the real deal. Unless you're serious about bug-testing and giving good feedback to the developer, don't ask for an invite at this time. Current: None |

That's the best kind of beta. Where you actually test and matter to the devs. Not the FP/MMORPG open beta buffets where the masses come to whine and dine on something new.

hey i would like an invite if someone still has one im one of those few people that actually enjoy testing and beta a game to make it better for the masses but also to get to a point this game looks like an innovative game that i would enjoy to play and not something im doing just to pass time so i would like to fully better the game for the masses
and also you cant go wrong its developed by working as intended awesome company name lol XD |

I deserve a beta invite because over the years I have continually advocated not just for open-ended, community based, worldly MMORPGS...but I have also been an advocate for non-combat being a necessity - just as important as combat...not a little toy that is to be played when one gets bored of combat. |

GS: What are the main features that differentiate your game from a sandbox like Darkfall online, for example?
The entire sandbox concept revolves around all options being relatively equal, both in terms of depth and variety. A crafter should have as deep and involved a gaming experience as a fighter or an explorer, otherwise crafters and explorers won’t play the game, and that’s a killing blow to a sandbox game, because the killers need the more peaceful types both for supply and prey, and the peaceful types need the killers to provide an unpredictable element of excitement. http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/255585/Dawntide-Dev-interview-Sandboxs-suffer-from-the-same-problem.html
To bad every sandbox attempt turns into pvp trash. Sigh oh well my vigil continues. |
