That was canceled after SOE tried to pay the producer and staff with LoN boosters and lifetime subscriptions of every game on their current roster. In which the producer replied "No loot cards?"

I still say in the right hands Half Life could be a badass movie but after seeing what Hollywood usually does with these movies maybe it's better they never tried.

Well there you have it, either some of you are going to sleep happy or will be raging on the internet. I think this is a wonderful choice for the 'Warcraft' movie, but still videogame to movie usually tend to suck.

 

If it stays in line with the game, does this mean the movie will go from beginning to end in 5 minutes very easily? Will we see characters bunny hopping across the screen and ninja looting treasure from one another? Or arguing about who gets the treasure? Will the character's be yelling Leroy Jenkins or making constant boob and Chuck Norris jokes?

It will be intresting how they actually film the movie. Will they have cartoony looking costumes and landscapes? Will they use decent actors and actresess? Intresting to see. If they go "regular Look" it'll turn WOW fans off. Im keeping my eye on this one.

About a warcraft movie, I just have images of the Dungeons and Dragons movie and Dungeon Siege.

 

Yeah, I had a feeling someone might mention that one.  I didn't care for it myself but to be fair it certainly wasn't near the suckage the D&D movie or especially the Dungeon Siege movie was.

That "In the Name of  the King" movie was the pits.  I'm still trying to fathom how they duped Ray Liotta and Jason Statham to be in that.  I know Statham takes some real questionable movie roles at times but sweet jesus was "In the Name of the King" a stinker.

The Hitman movie wasn't a bad game to movie adaptation, but for the most part most game to movie attempts are pretty sad if not out right bad.

Any movie based on a video game that does not involve zombies and people eating each other are always bad.
