Ok, the OP is coming out of left field and is being somewhat trollish, but one fact does remain: The spammers and the bots are still there. Sure, a minute of blocking kills the spam, and changing channels can allow me to evade the "grindbots", but the fact is I really shouldn't have to do this. If it gets to the point my enjoyment is seriously impacted, NCsoft will lose my sub. I don't think I am alone here. Also, this whole bot and spam issue is becoming the benchmark on how we western gamers view NCdoft's comitment to us as paying customers and the level of service they are going to provide us. If they fail here, it may very well tarnish their image, so it behooves them to fix this and quick. Frankly, if they don't kill the spam (at the very least) and reign in the bots, many players will simply declare that NCsoft does not care for them as customers and we will go elsewhere. That's why the issue is so important. |

Originally posted by Korhindi Very true. The fact remains that the OP is accusing not just NCsoft, but also Blizzard being apart of some huge RMT scandal. I really hope they do fix this. NCwest is the one controling this end of Aion and they don't have a HUGE staff ATM. This is because of NCsoft not putting a huge market into the western end of their gaming. Don't forget they have whatever is left of CoH/CoV and Lineage/Lineage 2. Before anyone brings up GW is still big, which it is, but NCwest doesn't control or deal with those servers. Arenanet does, which I think in one way or another they are incorporated into NCwest/NCsoft, but they are still a stand alone company. This is off the top of my head, but I've been reading up about game companies for a while now for school. Everyone has opinions, but does that make them the universal truth??? NO! |

I don't think they are the ones that are doing it here is why. They must know that most people hate spammers and gold sellers and if there is to many of them it will drive people to quit the game. I don't know how much gold costs to buy and IDK how often people buy it. But If they were the people doing the gold selling they really are just digging themselves in a hole. Not everyone playing the game will buy gold but everyone that likes the game and is playing it will pay the monthly sub..

Oh, don't get me wrong, I am not buying into the Op's assertions, just pointing out that the problem is still there, whatever the cause. You bring up interesting points about the other NCsoft titles, but the part where you say, "This is because NCsoft not putting a huge market into the western end of their gaming." is key. This right here, gives the impression that us western players are somehow worth less than asian customers and are subject to substandard service. This his been one of my main beefs with Asian games. If they treat me like a dirty stepchild, why should I buy their future products? |

Still no proof from the OP regarding his ridiculous claims. Only insults towards the people who question the sanity behind the logic of his arguments. If this is not a trolling thread, I don't know what is. |

Zorndorf playing the conspiracy card to try to justify the Aion numbers on Xfire? The only fact we know is that Aion had close to 400k PREORDERS, anything beyond that is speculation. The claims in this thread are so funny. |

At this time, we have resolved this error. Our stance... remains firmly against the buying or selling of gold, and we may take action against accounts that are involved in these activities."
Hangon a mo, this is BLIZZARDS own Website, only people with ACCESS to this site would get permission to the server to change/modify websites. Other information regarding this is available but due to Legal issues i am sure not posting these here on mmorpgs website. Our guild has long left BLizzards mmo cash cow behind, silently waiting ressurection in TOR. now a lot of you will keep posting for proof regarding NCsoft. The proofs their EVERY TIME you log into game, how many Gold farmers you block today? Tomorrow? thursday? Friday? Next week? Ncsofts own stance, publicly is "we deplore gold selling and it be bannable" Yeah right... |

So your "proof" is the following: Gold spammers exist in our games so the company is obviously behind them. What a wonderful line of thinking. Let me apply the same kind of logic somewhere else: Thieves exist in our society, so the government is obviously behind them. See what I did there? |

The main thing is that they thought the west wouldn't like the game that much, but because it got so big so quick that they're hiring more people now. Not much, but that's because they don't want to over hire people and find a drop in activity to just fire those people. Everyone has opinions, but does that make them the universal truth??? NO! |

The same ratio we can see with such established other games as wow and lotro. While the ratios fit between other mmo's and not with Aion it is clear that Xfire has an error sampling rate of over more than 100% vs other games. .Oh btw: servers numbers in Korea were 41/43 servers for 400K players and 113 Chinese servers for 1M players. In combined NA/EU they have ... 32 servers. Which clearly shows the lack of servers to support the numbers Xfire shows. Only the gold sellers promoting the game by logging in through Xfire could be a reasonable explantion. 5K Xfire players would suffice to have the error rate shown. Seriously did Aion steal your girlfriend or something, get over it man. if wow is so much better like you claim it is, why are you even wasting your time talking about Aion. |
