So I got this mail today that you all know about: half of the servers closing down due to this "overwhelming success".. So now I must make my choice. I have 4 accounts. I had 4 characters on one of those servers that I loved. I loved every pixel of them. But after the NGE I just kept them "alive". Never played the game. All my friends are gone. The game that I love is dead. Its a new game now. One where I don't feel I belong. But memories and and what was have made me keep those characters somewhat alive. So now.. what to do.. Let them go down with the server and close this sad chapter once for all? Or pay SOE a month on 4 accounts and transfer them. Guess I have a few days to think before I have to choose where to go on the yellow pixel road. All I can say. I loved the game pre NGE (and CU). Best game every. I will never trust or forgive SOE for what they did. And no. I am not goint to plat SWTOR either. Lucasarts was part of NGE and besides that game will never be the open sandbox that I loved. |

The servers are being locked down meaning no new toons can be created there, you will still be able to move them off of the server after the date is up,basicaly like they did the japanese servers,i moved a few toons from there to EU servers long after the shutdown. |

Characters left on the closed servers can be transferred after October 15th, but it will cost $50 per toon to transfer, not counting resubscribing first. All I can say to the OP is check your account status and see if you have free vet trials pending, and if you do, transfer your toons while you can. If not, only the OP can decide if it is ultimately worth the $60 to do the transfer before the closing date.

You wont play The Old Republic because Lucas Arts was involved with destroying SWG. You cant forgive $OE for killing our game. You are considering giving them your money to transfer 4 characters on a game you wont play. I think the answer is pretty clear. |
