Do you ever get the feeling youre being watched... |
Konami needs to bring this IP to market as an mmo...just tossing it out there as an idea... Discuss...

I think making it a MMO would be a bad direction for the IP. Not everyone can be a Belmont, how would you fit a story in with hundreds of vampire killers running around? |

Thats what is great, you can take the IP in any direction, horror lore with monster classes and such...who knows just spit ballin...

Better they use their other horror series (Silent Hill). I could see that being made into a MMO. Something like Dead Frontier in a more open world. It just won't make sense to make Castlevania into a MMO. I don't see what direction you could possibly take the IP in without completely retconning the IP. |

The MMO genre as a whole is a running joke considering a 5+ year old game is so dominant. |

No. No, we do not. How about we just have more games Not based on some obscure IP. Morrowind and Oblivion might as well be considered persistent world games, just for how rich and expansive they are with lore and things to do. Do we need an Elder Scrolls MMO, no. We need more companies to create their own stuff, like the rest of the gaming world. |

"Easy" only equals "better" for crack addicts and MMORPG developers. |

Agreed. If we have seen anything over the past few years...it is how MMO devs can take a popular, well liked title and butcher it into MMO status. I think devs should stick to original ideas, that way they aren't hurting the future of popular titles. |

I don''t have to know how to make a better game, I only need to know where the "CANCEL" button is! |

I'd just be satisfied seeing a good Castlevania title for PC. "Soloists and those who prefer small groups should never have to feel like they''re the ones getting the proverbial table scraps, as it were." - Scott Hartsman, Senior Producer, Everquest II |

Awesome + Awesome does not always equal Awesome.... Hamburgers are awesome and so is pizza... a Pizza toped with hamburgers will probably be a terrible idea.

Originally posted by Magnum2103 Well, the Belmont clan could be part of the history, with a descendant still living somewhere. There would be a lot of room since there isn't a ton of lore. But it would be boring waiting around every 2000 years for the castle to appear. I think the real problem would be where to put everyone, Transylvania isn't exactly a very big area, and the rest of Romania is mostly unrelated. Plus, it would have to be 2d side scrolling =D |
