All they need now is a good territorial control and intricate guild systems to allow for awesome politics and pvp.

Yeah... L2 could have done well with some better quest content. Though, really... it wasn't really "lacking" either, because there was so much else going on typically. L2 really focused on player-to-player interaction moreso than player-to-npc interaction. And let's be honest... most of the quests in L2 were atrocious lol. I almost quit the game doing my 2nd class change to Phantom Summoner back before they made it easier.... good grief that was horrible. It felt like the Forrest Gump of quests... you think it's done... and then it keeps going. In L2 anyway, PvE content definitely was not the focus, outside of grinding. Sovrath on these forums was always explaining that to people - me included at one point. As long as the quests are interesting enough, and combat is as fun as it looks (to me anyway) in TERA... I'm sure it'll be fine.

Even if it is a great game it just looses all merit, i mean, if the team isnt capable enough to do a game without stealing a source code, how the hell are they capable of evolving the game from now on? If this is true, then this game is not worth the time...
tbh they first wrote the code. then stole it. for them selves. to bring to a different company. to get it published. faster. (and to make money) ((faster)) Retired From: L2, SWG, RFO, WoW, War, Aion |

Originally posted by voltin Why are you the umpteenth person to give false accusations? For one the CODE is UNREAL engine, the makeup artwork/textures could never be copied/stolen because the game would never make it past the DarknLight stages. You realize Blizzard past employees have just made a game that is incredibly look a like to Diablo?I don't hear anyone clammering over it. There is bound to be a lot of comparisons after all these guys were high in the food chain at NCSOFT.IMO the game looks nothing like a NCSOFT game,it looks to have the new developers own flavor/touch. I will tell you what i have learned about NCSOFT over the past few years. They licensed the Unreal Engine for L2 ok we know that. They decide they would rather make their own engine, then they turn around and license another game engine from outside sources for AION.That smells real fishy to me,it looks more like they were in the Unreal engine to steal tech and know how from support from EPIC games. You don't claim you would rather build your own engine then right away license another, that made no sense at all. Then of course the illegal firing of Lord British to escape a 20 million dollar clause in the contract was more than fishy. How many developers pull the plug on a game as fast as NCSOFT did?Never happens, they did it to bury the game,so they had litigation/reason to fire Mr.British, and escape the 20 million dollar contract.Honestly as long as the game is dead it is pretty hard to prove they did it on purpose,i am still unsure how that court case was resolved. I would be far more worried about NCSOFT and how they operate and lie to people than i would be about Bluehole studios. http://www.youtube.com/user/Napolianboo#p/u/15/rCYLLQCNc1w |

God, I hope this game makes it. I haven't seen a good game since lineage 2 and watched ncsoft let it get ruined by botters and farmers. Signature Played Ragnarok online (3 years), WoW (6 months off and on), Priston Tales (a month), Lineage 2 (6 years),every mmorpg on the game list for 1-3 months, every single player rpg from nintendo up to playstation. |
