Perhaps they're trying to allow new players to have a feel of the game before dropping them into pvp. Games like AoC which drops you into a FREE FOR ALL pvp ground as soon as you enter (TORTAGE) becomes quite frustrating.

If you really want pvp from level 1, shouldn't you be playing DF?

 just because your being refused repetedly in duel doesnt mean there is no pvp<

its easy if a friend or a foe has his or he weapon out you got a good chance of pvping if you ask for a duel

if someone is questing and you ask for a duel ,good luck at least ask when they transit lol not when they re leveling

You obviously played WAR a long time ago and are basing all your comments on that experience. You are full of bs and are, probably unintentionally, misleading. Nowadays open RvR has huge rewards compared to scenarios and there is always a lot of it going on, especially in T1 - just don't expect it to come to you. Open your map, check which pairing is "hot" at the moment (it's got huge crossed swords on it FYI) and simply fly there - it'll take you less time than an average wait for a scenario. Please base your comments on the current state of the game and not your hazy memories of how it used to be at launch.

As for OP.. yup, that's why I cancelled my subscription. I'll be back when they introduce some kind of viable PvP leveling scheme from level 1. However strange it might seem, WAR did spoil me in that regard and I don't really care about how awesome a game's PvE is or how fantastic PvP might get later on. The basic requirement for any future mmo that I might play is "PvP leveling from the start" - if this is not present then I won't even consider playing.

So who's the drama queen in this scenario? If I go anywhere on the  planet and ask for something I'm paying for to be be made to my satisfaction that is perfectly reasonable. If they cannot do so  I will certainly go elsewhere. On the other hand if I do not ask and it's not to my stifaction and I go elsewhere that is my fault for not asking and their loss. Telling people to shut up and like it is a really stupid thing for companies to do, so they don't. They try to accomodate those requests they can. You see how that works? Here, I'll simplify it for you.

its obvious because its true -- I did play WAR a good bit ago -- think I cancelled around feb or march.  Show me where I attempt to mislead anyone on WHEN I played...   Not sure how I am full of BS when I said I "PLAYED" WAR -- past tense kid.  Also, when should I base my experience off of ?  when I wasnt playing it ?  The game failed to retain its playerbase -- Most MMOs get 1 chance to impress.  Sorry if the truth hurts.  But if WAR was such a great pvp game, it wouldnt have flopped so hard and lost most of its subs.

That's not why Warhammer failed. It's one of the few reasons people stuck with it as long as they did.

PvP from the start is a great feature, and I don't consider a game to be a 'PvP game' without it.

 

WAR pvp SUCKED.  I can count on one hand the amount of times I saw random, OPEN world pvp in that game.  Can you pvp in some useless wow-copied BG from level 1 ?  sure you can.  But, BGs are NOT pvp.  WAR devs put nothing into that game at all and it shows.  EQ2 has more world pvp at the early levels then WAR.  Seriously man, dont use WAR to make a point about how its a good game or had a good idea.  WAR was a pile of bad ideas, a horrible rush job.  AION is doing it right, letting players learn the game and preventing griefing of new players causing them to quit.  If you cant see that, then I cant help you. 

I played WAR at launch and the only pvp I saw levels 1-10 is a BG.  It was a big NEGATIVE for me.  I only play pvp games and WAR only delivered pvp in BGs or some forced, scripted RVR lakes, where players fought over nothing at all.

Well I don't know what game you were playing, but there is almost always open PvP in T1 in Warhammer.  T1 and T2 are generally always active. Even if you don't like WAR, the fact is you can PvP from level 1 till 40 if you want. Which you can't do in Aion.

Dial down that fanboyism just a tad.

I don't know how much time you have but some of us don't have a whole lot to devote or that we want to devote to just getting up levels to do PvP.

I am definitely ok with the heavy PvP being a little later but I do think they should have included some lower level pvp to keep us entertained until the higher levels.
